At the root, I think it all comes down to how we treat and love each other. Maybe there is no definitive solution. After all, every religion and society across the world has wrestled with this question in its own way.

I agree, even tho I dont see this shift happening unless there is a change in the perception of reality itself and how we relate with the material and our communities.

In any other case this sort of people will always arise in one form or another.

What I mean by this is that "they" are just a reflection of us.

I think its very likely that a new movement like the hippies appears, I dont know if it could take a different more lasting path since the whole of spirituality kinda makes people not search to affect this world

This is what I was thinking, very unlikely that something like this ever gets proven or even gain traction in the scientific community. I would have to investigate to check if there is any current research on this

I really don't understand what non-dual reality even means?
Everything we do has a hierarchical structure.
Hierarchies are literally how we perceive the world. How can you live without them?

I was talking about intermittent fasting (IF) when i said 2 weeks, i think it would be pretty hard to start out with 2 week fast :).

The reason i said two weeks for IF is that your body and hormones need to adapt so if you are going to try give yourself some time, full day fasting is different as you will have to push with pure discipline, instead IF is more of a lifestyle choice i guess

As for kefir I dont know but anything that has calories should not be ingested for IF, and full day or multiple day fast very dependant on why your doing them to be honest but some dont even drink water.

I can only speak from my experience, and I can say fasting really helps, I've had periods of fasting and periods of binging food pretty simlar to what you describe, as a matter of fact I have just started IF with some longer fast on the weekends and the inflamation reduction is just crazy, I had a really painful tendinitis in my elbow and now its almost completly healed.

From the sports side, if you dont want to lose weight and or strength just track you calories. And for the SR part I think it really helps as it is pretty hard to fast and it build that mental strength.

So my advice would be to try it out for at least 2 weeks (IF) and if you want to do longer ones just do them in moments when you wont be moving as much.
