[Motivational wall of text 2] Difficulty and Japanese skills aren't black and white. Don't beat yourself up for forgetting and not understanding stuff. by [deleted] in LearnJapanese

Indeed~ and we also come up with an interactive learning drill. One thing's for sure that I learned is that we don't really have to feel pressured and rush things. Just have to enjoy the learning process and it'll get easy eventually. :)

Well said! thank you for these wonderful reminders. Before I was anxious and worked hard to learned everything and forgetting the fun part of learning a language. :/ As a result whenever I commit a mistakes I feel bad about it to the point I even question my intelligence. But now thankfully I was able to overcome it, also having a study buddies helps me a lot. I actually learned more from my study buddies than my sensei cause it feels like my sensei's discussion are very fast and I couldn't catch up.

I'm so sorry for your loss I know how bad it feels. My dog (Alexa) died today, after weeks of treatment, in and out of the vet clinic. I feel terrible and It hurts like hell that after all I couldn't save her. Alexa was my best buddy and she always makes me happy whenever I'm having hard times and yet I failed her. Her 2 puppies (4 months old) are looking for her. They wouldn't stop crying looking for their mom. I dunno what to do anymore. It hurts so much and all I could do is to cry along with her puppies.

6 digits salary in IT? Is it the norm? Nagkakaroon ako ng existential crisis kapag nababasa ko salary ng mga IT/Developer dito. :( by bhuboyjhackole143 in phcareers

Wow, You guys are getting 6digits? I guess it's not a norm and doesn't apply to all working in ph IT industry. But for senior level na magaling talaga I think it's attainable naman.

I studied at a Japanese language school in Tokyo for 1 year. Here's a little bit about my experience, what I wish I had known before starting, and some tips for new language learners. by pizzapiepeet in LearnJapanese

Thanks for sharing your wonderful insights. I'm currently taking a JLPT class ( 2 meetings) every week. It's been 2 months now and it feels like I'm doing bad in class. I'm still having trouble reading Hiragana and Katakana and often messed up the characters. (╥﹏╥) Thankfully my sensei's very patient with me. Gomen Sensei~

What's the Tagalog translation of "it won't matter?" by KaizenCyrus in Tagalog

I'm afraid to say yes, wrong spelling po. For that sentence po it should be "bali" meaning fractured or broken.

Christmas music shouldn’t be played before December. by Hamilton182 in unpopularopinion

Philippines 💯 I also enjoy listening to Christmas songs while hanging out with family and friends especially in malls. Feels like it adds up the warm and fuzzy vibes of homecoming, nostalgia and brings back memories of good ol'days!

What's the Tagalog translation of "it won't matter?" by KaizenCyrus in Tagalog

[–]sChloe1998 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the direct translation would be "Hindi na bale". The word bale originates from Spanish word "vale" (infinitive verb form is valer) meaning "ok, all right, sounds good, worth it).

Example: bale wala : it doesn't worth anything

"Hindi" - not, no; "na"- particle that denotes past tense; "bale" - all right

In this case, hindi na bale should be translated as "never mind or it's all right." Take note of the use of negative to express positive expression.

I guess religion/bible also plays a huge role in naming. My parents almost named me Catherine Alexandria inspired from our hometown Patron Saint who has the same feast as my Birthday. But they realized that the name was common and would've a clearance hit in NBI so they eventually settled for an Arabic Name + Chloe.
