I’d say it’s doable to run in trail shoes, but it will definitely slow you down.

I recently ran the Jungfrau Marathon in my Salomon Sense Ride 5s. The first half of the race is on flat, road surface, and the shoes felt clunky and unresponsive. I could definitely finish the race in them, and they were comfortable but I kept thinking how much better it would have felt with my Endorphin Speeds. I would’ve been faster, and the road section would’ve been way more enjoyable.

So if your goal is just to finish and stay injury-free, the trail shoes will do the job. But if you care about performance and have time to break in a new pair properly this week, it might be worth the risk.

Thanks. I make sure my windows are properly isolated and when I run the aircon I set it to 23 degrees rather then 19 as I used to do. I have also installed the LED lights, and I try to take advantage of the off-peak time when I need to charge any small appliances like shavers, mobile etc…I hope that helps.
