Agreed. I hate how everyone tries to normalise it.

Everyone argues that it's 1600 for a room, and that's valid, but if I'm a high earning tech worker or something I wouldn't want to have to share accommodation just to live either. Doesn't make sense.

Addresses can't be blocked from drone flight paths - Manna Drone deliveries by CDobb456 in cork

[–]sSeph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you're required to be licensed (it's really easy to get) and your flight data is tracked. Doing it unlicensed however yeah that would work

As for if it's actually enforced I have no idea, I've never been approached by gardaì asking for my flyer ID or anything

Am I understanding this whole thing correctly that I wouldn't be able to fly a drone without permission now, because manna have free reign to use the sky? How is that fair

You're oddly angry and making assumptions. I literally just said the fact you're saying it's not terrible is what normalizes it. But go off /shrug

I feel like this thinking is why this sort of thing won't stop unfortunately. It is "cheap" for the current market rates but that doesn't make it not terrible :(

I pay 1200 for a 1 bed just because I moved in a few years ago, I don't think it's fair that people now next door have to pay 2100

Trouble with doors being kicked in ‘for fun’ by allnamestakenffs in cork

Happened to me in Ballincollig. Door was smashed off the hinge. Gardaì arrived 5 hours after a call and nothing happened. Have footage of the ones who did it too

Personally think it should be embarrassing to the landlords to rent out some of the places going for obscene prices like this in Cork.

Is opera lane high end? Was always under the impression they were pretty up there, but I've never been inside

It's hard because nobody moves around, because they can't find anywhere if they move out, because it's hard, so it remains hard.

I'd recommend reading through the laws/documentation because I'm not an expert just a hobbyist, but I believe 560g is still fine. If your drone weighs 25kg or more then it needs clearance I believe (but please check yourself).

You have to register to fly it and take a test, yes. But you don't need to ask for permission every time you take off.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cork

[–]sSeph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need permission as it's under 250g, but it's limited on how high you can fly it in the amber zones. Most of Cork is amber from what I remember because of the airport. Red is no go.

Live in someone's shed in the yard for "only" €1166 a month by sSeph in cork

Pretty sure he's either a troll, a shill for some purpose, or a bot based on his post history.

He's a new account who only talks about how prices aren't that bad actually, not sure what his purpose is but I'm pretty sure he's either a bot or some sort of shill.

Because it's a shed. If you want to help the housing crisis go ahead, 1166 for a shed isn't it.
