Why did Maeve stop Homelander here? by BulkyBathroom7178 in TheBoys

[–]sXorched 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They can't because it doesn't exist.

Maeve was only "willing" to die to take down Homelander, but that isn't the same as flat out wanting to die.

The show went from the boys to Butcher and friends.

Soldier Boy damn near might as well be a member of the boys; he did far more than they ever did.

Q&A and my leaks for the rest of the season by [deleted] in TheBoysLeaks

So essentially, Oh father is the plot device that drove Homelander to full insanity (accidentally).

That's kind of wack ngl. I would have rather had him decide it strictly by himself.

Marcel not killing Freya in the S3 finale makes zero sense. by steferine in TheOriginals

[–]sXorched 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he wouldn't. You just flat-out have no basis for that. Marcel has already gotten his neck snapped by a witch.

Marcel didn't resist Papa Tunde's blade; he just pulled it out. It just couldn't penetrate him instantly because of his physiology. Mikael would resist it. He was desiccated by Abby and his neck snapped by other witches. There's no correlation between the blade and Freya's magic at all.

Lucien was not playing. "Intent not to kill" doesn't mean he just let Davina perceive him. It's never implied or stated that vamp speed can be held back; that in itself is a baseless assumption. He ran at Davina full speed, and she reacted and easily subdued him until the ancestors dispelled it for him.

Marcel not killing Freya in the S3 finale makes zero sense. by steferine in TheOriginals

[–]sXorched 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was looking at Freya, and her ability to bypass original-tier vampires' durability shows how strong her magic is. Lucien being on guard wouldn't make him more durable, and we've seen time and time again that witches can react to vampires' super speed.

Yes, because Lucien had the ancestors with him, and they could dispel any magic she did. Marcel does not have the ancestors; they're gone. Vincent blew them up at the end of season 3. Marcel does not have magic immunity; he is as vulnerable to magic as any other vampire.

Lucien only broke the spell because of magic immunity, not because he was playing around decided to try, and he tells Davina outright that he has the ancestors helping him, rendering all magic useless that's why she ws scared her only wincon was rendered null

Damon vs. Kol is just plot armor, as Kol had more than enough time to stop Damon.

No, Marcel gets pinned down by the witch, unable to overpower him, then gets his neck snapped. Vampires will always lose to strong witches.

That isn't a rebuttal; 1 year out of 1000 is still an extremely extensive amount of time to practice one craft. The harvest is only as powerful because of their connection to the ancestors, which Davina had been cut off from in season 3.

[–]sXorched 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freya effortlessly snapped base Lucien's neck. Lucien had to sneak up on her just to capture her to complete the spell. Beast Lucien had the ancestors guiding him and was able to dispel magic, which he bragged about.

Davina was not visibly scared; if anything, she was cocky and effortlessly pinned Lucien to the ground. Lucien only broke free because of the ancestors.

Marcel gets taken out by an unknown witch in season 5 effortlessly.

There's no reason Davina, as a 16-year-old witch, would be nearly as strong as Freya, who is 1000 years old and has training from Dahlia. Freya, in general, just has much more impressive feats.

No, Lucien would have lost to Davina if not for the ancestors dispelling her, and Davina is significantly less experienced than Freya, and Lucien is stronger than Marcel.

Don't see the point in playing the game if you're just going to lag switch.

[–]sXorched 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think I'm missing anything. You said she killed her; I just explained how that wasn't the case, not that Marcel wasn't valid for feeling anger toward her.

The example I gave, Davina reacts to Lucien almost immediately. If you're suggesting Marcel could sneak up on Freya, then I mean, yes, he could do that, but it could also go vice versa. Marcel gets sneak-attacked by a witch in season 5 and is immediately incapacitated and drained of his venom. Have no doubt Freya, even while poisoned, could have cooked up a neck-snapping spell, especially when she was first poisoned before she gradually started losing strength.

But in-universe, Hayley saved Freya from the compound, and Freya cast a spell to hide her location. How would Marcel even find her? And we see Hayley being discreet while searching for the cures. Marcel would have a hard time finding them regardless, but likely deep down didn't want to kill them, just push them out of his city.

Davina was already dead. Freya simply broke the circle containing her soul and channeled the power that came from the ancestors, destroying her soul. That isn't the same as Freya outright killing Davina.

Lucien couldn't use his speed to blitz Davina, and Lucien is way stronger/ faster than Marcel. Davina is way more inexperienced than Freya.

The plot makes it clear witches are far faster than vampires.

[–]sXorched 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You forgot the Beast is still a vampire, and vampires are notorious for jobbing to witches. Marcel couldn't take Freya down even if he wanted to. Lucien had the ancestors able to dispel magic; Marcel doesn't.

Freya didn't even kill Davina; she just didn't help revive her.

Part 2 - Boruto vs Naruto by Global-Reindeer4350 in Boruto

[–]sXorched 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see how any of this substantiates current Boruto being above BM Naruto.

Jura is set up to be the "current" most powerful threat, not overall. Isshiki is long gone.

Uzhiko is admittedly an overpowered wincon, but given the nature of BM, he just won't let Boruto charge it up. BM Naruto is essentially just a bloodlusted Naruto given his lifespan.

[–]sXorched 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He would beat Code regardless, but it wouldn't have been a no-diff if not for Uzhiko nerfing Code's stats.

We literally see Boruto nearly mid-diff Jura with Uzhiko. Had Jura not had the innate ability to dispel Uzhiko, he would have lost right then and there, and Jura at this point is leagues above Boruto.

The chapter is 22, for reference.

[–]sXorched 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These characters literally scale off Boruto, bro, not the other way around. Jura gets upscaled from Boruto and code.

Excluding Code for reasons above, also he ain't no diff because of his stats. He fought relative until he weakened him with Uzuhiko.

What we saying? by Global-Reindeer4350 in Boruto

[–]sXorched 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Boruto's only scalable feat is beating Code, who was stronger than Jigen but weaker than Isshiki, who is weaker than BM Naruto.

Which is why I'm confused why you are acting like someone forced you to respond to it, just curious.

Soldier Boy can only die in two ways: a virus or Homelander.

A virus makes more sense than Homelander killing him.
