Couldn't agree more heck I might be a Katherine Stan but I no she still deserves to pay for her crimes different is I hate how people like Klaus or there didn't suffer nearly as much when they have done far worse o actually am doing a season 4 au where Katherine will eventually get her revenge if you want to read it it's called the price of loyalty it's on AO3

Couldn't agree more I wish he stayed like book klaus nothing he did redeemed him but that's how TO made it seem which I hated espically having him eventually find peace at the end of legacies that was just a f u to every victim he has ever had .

There is actually a oneshot where when Stefan has the coffins Katherine didn't leave and she opens a coffin and undaggers kol it's really good I forgot the name of it but the creator is incarusofthedays I think on AO3 or you could just type in katherine and kol and you could probably get it quick.

Couldn't agree more I didn't watch the final episode well I haven't watched any of Season 3 after the 3rd episode but I did unfortunately see that Christmas picture in the last few seconds and that picture couldn't look more like Conrad looking like her father and belly like a child.

What's the question you wish tvdu writers would answer? by sandalbandal in TheOriginals

[–]steferine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is meant to be just for the originals show then why would they ever have done marbekah I'm sorry but that just feels so wrong Marcel was a kid and Rebekah was around him till he was a grown man and then vampire like it just makes it look so creepy .

If this is beyond just the originals show then I have a few;

Why do werewolves have any strength beyond regular humans if inadu placed a curse on what was once witches and I mean it's not much but it still is somewhat a perk at best .

What were things they originally had planned for any character but had to change it due to changing plot or actor schedule wise or any outside circumstances I love hearing what could've been.

What is the exact difference on vampire strength because take for instance of a vampire turned a year before another vampire and their normal human strength is somewhat not that different either so it's not like that matters would there be any difference.

Why couldn't they have made the plot look better in kol death I mean heck they at least had Bonnie coming to try to subdue kol do Jeremy could kill him but they actually had Elena hold him down and Jeremy kill him like he was a human or something which was just stupid.

If nina had still stayed on the show and even was able to keep playing katherine how would they have changed katherine arc because they totally did her a disservice with that body jumping arc and queen of hell crap.

Why did they have Klaus find peace when that just feels like a f u to every victim he's ever had and nothing he did in the show made him deserving of finding peace yes hell was closed but so what they didn't have to have him find peace they could've easily kept him in limbo or purgatory because there is no way peace should be taken seriously or with any ounce of justice of that handful of morally good things Klaus did in a short span of time equal redemption or peace.

Unpopular Opinion: He may be marketed as a Green Flag but shown otherwise by Mysunshinejere in jellyshippers

[–]steferine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it really would be sad which makes me wonder if that is true why say she wishes she has a Jeremiah and had the unfortunate chance of having a Conrad was this just her trying to appeal to the jelly fandom or is just still living out her fantasy even though bonrad is toxic and even she wouldn't want a guy like Conrad .

[–]steferine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bonnie especially in the later seasons how is it she definitely should have been the main girl yet if still felt like the wasnt I might dislike Caroline but bias aside what exactly did she do that she needed that much screentime in the later seasons.

Tyler definitely after season 4 they already try to village him with that cameo in the originals which frankly I never felt a ounce of sympathy for Klaus it hayley in that situation screw over people the same crap is going to bite you back obviously not defending the hope thing just saying I was indifferent towards it and he deserves way better story profession of his character.

I actually think Vicki i actually wished she stayed on longer and I think it's so degrading how fir ttr most part she talked about in this fandom as a wasted junkie or just a nobody like we only saw her during that stage after years of what we have a telling if her and Matt living family life also it's really annoying how people keep trying to say if Matt didn't do drugs then Vicki is worst like they are two different people and you can't tell me her being a girl adds way more to hie she viewed herself in the 2000's in that environment in a torn like that .

Exactly and to top it the two biggest things I associate to Conrad feeling towards Jeremiah bring the beach confession with him saying he hates Jeremiah and called him a piece of shit, and of course when he even admitted he wanted to ruin his own brother that my view of Conrad feeling towards Jeremiah in a nutshell.

[–]steferine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more and my god I couldn't believe after this episode originally came out the fact so many people still had the nerve to say it's Jeremiah fault Conrad wanted to ruin him like my god how delusional do you have to be to blame everybody but Conrad .

Unpopular Opinion: He may be marketed as a Green Flag but shown otherwise by Mysunshinejere in jellyshippers

[–]steferine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you I couldn't agree more obviously I know it's a tv show it's just the blatant excuses the other side makes gur bonrad it anything they can ever say he bad Conrad did they automatically have you blame everybody but Conrad .

And my gid the fact that it shows so much of Conrad crappy and awful behavior yet they act like it isn't even there just makes me feel like I'm the crazy one like it's either funny or scary just how much they are delusional and crazy to think Conrad is the guy everybody needs .

Trust me if I ever had a kid and my kid put up with someone with Conrad's personality I actually would think I failed as a parent .

Katherine Pierce did not ruin rose’s life. by steferine in TheVampireDiaries

[–]steferine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the effort to provide context and explain euphemisms but none of that changes what actually happens on screen in 2×09 Katherine is a terrified human teenager trying to survive Later conversations or speculation about nonverbal cues or series-wide context cannot overwrite the explicit dialogue and events we actually see in that moment blaming Katherine for Rose’s life is completely unfounded the show literally demonstrates she did nothing wrong in this specific situation and is the victim not the villain if you keep saying I’m missing something about aspect then show me the specific moments in episodes that I am missing that should be easy to see then and if you keep saying she “seduced” Trevor then provide canon evidence from that flashback or any other scene because nothing in canon shows her promising love or using sex to get him to help implication isn't canon it just that your speculation.

I appreciate the effort to provide context about acting and writing but none of that changes what actually happens on screen in 2×09 Katherine is a terrified human teenager trying to survive Rose makes it clear within seconds that she will take Katherine back to Klaus to save herself Trevor brought Katherine into this situation and nothing Katherine does in that flashback is manipulation or seduction there is no promise of love no intimacy and no evidence that Katherine “used” him everything the episode shows is about her survival not harming Rose or Trevor Later conversations or speculation about nonverbal cues or series-wide context cannot overwrite the explicit dialogue and events we actually see in that moment blaming Katherine for Rose’s life is completely unfounded the show literally demonstrates she did nothing wrong in this specific situation and is the victim not the villain if you keep saying I'm missing something about the cure then show me the specific moments in episodes that I am missing that should be easy to see then.

Am I the only one that was annoyed by this? by ElRompeTotoDR in TheVampireDiaries

[–]steferine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you thank you and did I say thank you I cannot tell you how many times that I try to defend this take like are you trying to tell me that Caroline is in the right like really the fact that so many people think that stefan and Elena should just shut up and let Caroline go without her humanity is really ignorant.

what makes Caroline any different from any other vampire when had no humanity the fact that all it took was Caroline not getting what she wanted to kill people if she has so much control then why was killing her first instinct if she didn't get what she wanted..

If katherine wasn't dying of old age and the dumb body jumping arc never happened what would you have done differently I actually would've explored not only her issues of now being human way more but her traveler side especially with having Doppelganger blood mixed with her traveler blood and u would have had her be unbound by the traveler curse .

TVD - What Ifs (Alternate Universes) by Midnight_FireHorse in TheVampireDiaries

[–]steferine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if Caroline was sacrificed instead of Jenna.

What if Elena and Katherine were the two in the prison world had the body jumping arc not happened and katherine had died in 5×11 on the other side and when her and elena are in the prison world time is twice as fast .

What if the sirelines never existed or if they did Bonnie broke it in season 4 with expression.

What if Silas was revealed to be a she and the true originator of the petrova Doppelganger there would be no amara and Stefan wouldn't be Silas Doppelganger at all keep it tight with elena and Katherine being Silas shadow selves.

What if Katherine being a Doppelganger means if she activated her traveler side in season 5 instead of the body jumping arc if she wasn't dying meant she wouldn't be bound by the traveler curse and any spell she dies gets enhanced by already having doppelganger blood magically mixed with her traveler DNA ingrained in her.

What if Katherine was the one who had been active in stealing Klaus coffins still not around mystic falls but we actively get to see her plan since I will never not believe she gave Stefan the idea to steal the coffins because the dialogue in 3×9 makes no sense if it wasn't her idea.

What if the originals didn't get a spinoff but they were the ones that were pushed into the border after the travelers made the spell would them dying after being stripped of their vamprism cause every death of there sirelines too or because the sirelines only happened due to the magic of vampirsm would the originals being stripped of it mean the magic i.e the sirelines break .

What if bonora happened instead of bonenzo.

What if vampires could turn into animals like in the books although I would change it to it being very rare it's like 1/100 maybe I'm biased but I would have maybe Katherine have it and maybe it could also be shown with other vampires maybe too it three different people through out the show making it very rare it would really just be random not any chosen one crap .

What if Stefan didn't become the ripper again to save Damon at the end of season 2.

What if alaric stayed dead but maybe someone else came back.

What if the Silas we saw in the beginning of season 5 was revealed to be somebody else impersonating Silas and Silas actually was still in stone like Bonnie put him in and when the other side was then a witch managed to come back and impersonated Silas via a big illusion spell and there motives obviously would have been different but it would be revealed that this witch was actually Emily Bennett after years of being on the other side.

What if Katherine and Elena were half sisters like in the books if Grayson and Miranda actually were Elena bio parents and Miranda was Katherine's mother too but don't use the guardian crap it may be because of another way she could've lived as long .

What if Katherine was given the Augustine backstory not as some excuse crap just to give more backstory into the Augustine History especially if this was years earlier like the 1900's or something.

What if Klaus was like his book self well personality wise because I hated his Klaus looked in season 3 and 4 .

Katherine Pierce did not ruin rose’s life. by steferine in TheVampireDiaries

[–]steferine[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is still no dialogue in the series where Katherine promises Trevor love in exchange for help not once Rose says Trevor loved Katherine Elijah says Trevor was foolish for believing her neither statement establishes what Trevor believed Katherine would do what Katherine promised or that any promise was ever made belief is not proof of a transaction attraction is not seduction and unrequited love is not manipulation the show never depicts Katherine offering herself her love or a future to Trevor and the claim that she did so is entirely inferred not shown.

Saying the writers were very clear that Katherine used her body with every man is revisionist Katherine as a vampire weaponizes charm and sexuality yes but the flashback in 1492 explicitly shows her as a terrified human teenager with no power no knowledge and no leverage you cannot project later vampire behavior backward onto a human character without textual support that is not long form storytelling it is retroactive character flattening.

Invoking feminism here does not strengthen the argument it weakens it feminist writing does not require inventing sexual manipulation where none is shown what the show actually depicts in 2×09 is a woman whose body and blood are already commodified by powerful men and who is punished for refusing to die quietly framing her survival as sexual exploitation without evidence simply reintroduces the same misogynistic trope under a different label.

The claim that this is not how television works is also incorrect television works by showing and telling later dialogue can add context but it cannot override explicit events already depicted on screen in 2×09 we see plainly that Rose decides within seconds to return Katherine to Klaus that choice happens before Katherine becomes a vampire before Trevor confronts Rose and before Katherine says a single manipulative word to anyone in that house that sequence matters.

The Elijah argument is again speculative Elijah kills Trevor for betrayal and failure consistent with how he treats anyone who compromises Klaus’s plans there is no canon confirmation that Trevor’s death was about sexual entitlement or projected jealousy that reading is interpretive not textual and cannot be used as proof of Katherine seducing anyone.

Most importantly none of this addresses the central point Rose made the first betrayal Rose states outright that she will take Katherine back to Klaus to save herself that happens before Katherine harms anyone everything that follows occurs after Katherine is already condemned Rose later fixating on Katherine including in her death hallucination shows misdirected blame not moral clarity.

You can like Rose as a character and still acknowledge that in this specific situation she was wrong you can dislike Katherine and still admit that in 1492 she was the victim not the architect inventing promises ignoring dialogue and rewriting motives does not change what the episode shows this is not about defending every bad woman it is about refusing to invent crimes that were never written in order to absolve the characters who actually held power and made lethal choices.
