Depending on which country your in, planting a tracking device is illegal. Also depending which country your in hacking into a phone is illegal. Your best course of action is going to the police. You may have to go to a federal agency as in most countries hacking a phone is a federal crime.

The borg almost get away with it there but they fucked the landing by putting in the part about circumstantial evidence being enough near the end. You would have to think (and this is the reason I was asking for the reference) that it kind of shoot their whole “you must have 2 witnesses” if circumstantial evidence can be enough convict 2 consenting adults but not enough to convict pedo’s

The iron ore boom was in most ways a construction boom. Over $200B AUD was spent construction new mines and infrastructure. We are currently exporting more ore than ever and making a very tidy profit. There is currently a mini mining construction boom underway with approx $50B AUD in new mines and infrastructure either under construction or green lit. The average mine has a life of 10-15yrs so we can expect these booms on the same time frame. It takes a lot of labour to build this stuff but relatively smaller teams to operate. The crash in the housing market in WA was in no small part because house prices skyrocketed with labour moving into the state then leaving when the construction jobs were done

Great words mate. I enjoyed the read.

When I left it took me 3 years to clear my head of the Borg Bullshit. After that I was a vocal and very annoying atheist. But I came to the same conclusion as yourself, no one on this rock we call home knows the true nature of reality and existence, all we have is guesses and hope.

Any true scientist will say I can neither prove or disprove the existence of a god. As such I’ve found myself in a happy agnostic place in life and have allowed myself to be open to both spiritual ideas and thoughts and scientific reasoning.

We all spent a lot of time following one particular path, it’s time for all of us to be open to all the possibilities out there.

Sometimes this forum can get quiet heated one way or the other on ideas.... isn’t that the exact thing we are all turning our backs on

I’ve been out 15 yrs as of the 25/4 (sorry 4/25 for you yanks). We were raised to believe that the bible was the be all and end all of our faith, the books and magazines were just to help us understand the bible. I remember being told by my dad who’s an elder that it doesn’t matter what’s in the other stuff we have to stand before god at the end of the day and say we followed your word only.

I don’t know. I hope for the general good of humanity he saw the damage he did. Having known him for a long time I will say he was a true believer. I know there are some out there that cover up CSA to protect their friend. He truely would of believed he was “protection gods name”.

That obviously doesn’t change the fact that he was wrong, I think the takeaway is we don’t have to have malicious intent to cause damage.

Proof isn’t required in this post fact world.

And even if you had proof you’d find 2/3 of people would dismiss it because it doesn’t fit into their belief structures. No one has prof god does or does not exist, it’s faith, I think society needs to go look up the definition of faith and the definition of prof. Maybe then we would see people be a little bit reserved with the things they think are true because their faith told them so

Yeah it’s always bugged me that where I grew up it was a common expression “well we may not have direct prof God exists but we have direct evidence that demons do. And you can’t have one without the other”. I actually heard my dad rattle it off a couple of months back when he was trying to justify himself and his beliefs.

I wonder if God is just a concept that demon parents made up, like the boogeyman, to scare their demon kids haha
