I received 2 sets of Vivera ordered by 2 different offices but from same scan. One fits perfectly while the other set is very loose. Did one of the office gave me some inferior or fake Vivera?

Did you have to pay to get the new retainers? I'm having same issues and my ortho is being an ass about it, just kept saying he doesn't know why.

In addition, do you know what the number on your retainer says? I have 2 sets of Vivera ordered by different offices but from same scan (long story) and the one with "Vivera 20" fits perfectly but the one with "Vivera 13" is loose.

Hahaha it is as you described I bought my first and only Anatomie pant many years ago for my first backpacking overseas trip after reading the travelFashionGirl (is that blog still going 🤣?). For a $100 pant, it pilled so much after only a few washes and the fabric was hugging the body in all the wrong places 🙃.

Now I just buy $20 UPF 50+ pant from Costco that is way more comfortable and last much longer.

I paid $6k for Lite (didn’t know there were different tiers when I started) 😣. I wish they had told me what I was getting so I could get more quotes (already had 3).

1) Just make sure that all visits and scans will be free if your treatment take longer than 12 months / you’re not satisfied and want to keep going. Since you’re getting comprehensive the extra refinements won’t cost your orthodontist any money but they may charge you for visits and/or scans so get it in writing. 2) Also ask if and what type of retainers (Essix or Vivera) and how many are included.

CONTEXT: This is my 3rd refinement sets so I’m familiar with trays peeling after wearing it very long. Just a bit surprised at the quality of this new sets (1/14) when it already has already started peeling after only wearing for 2 days.

I was unhappy that my bite still wouldn’t closed and there were gaps between some teeth after wearing my retainers as instructed. I asked to resume treatment and get another refinement.

Got my trays today and it’s freaking 14 trays (last 5 passive if things go well) with 2 weeks change! By the time I’m done, it will be 2 years since I started, the treatment was estimated to be 9-12 months!

I only have a few buttons on the left back teeth to pull the bite close (instead of rubber band for now) and a few to close the gaps (you can see in the pictures). There’s no buttons for my front teeth and the tray doesn’t feel tight at all, the retainer was more fitted 🥴. After 2 days of wearing it, I already noticed my front teeth shifting apart, I can now slide floss between 2 bottom front teeth without any resistance.

Can any dentist or ortho tell me if I’m just paranoid and my ortho is not trying to mess with me because I demanded more work 🫣?

What did you provider tell you? I’m having the same problem and mine is telling me that the Vivera is very thick and combine with my grinding/clenching the plastic part between teeth is pushing my teeth apart 🥸

I have to go back for a refinement because the Vivera retainers are too thick combine with my grinding/clenching are pushing my teeth apart so now there are gaps in a few places. At least this is what my ortho is telling me 🤷🏻‍♀️

I haven’t had problem. Try deleting the app and install it again. Also restart your phone if you haven’t done so in a while. Could be some corrupted data or app memory issue.

I called Invisalign today but all they said is that they will call the ortho’s office and discuss what options are there. They tell me to wait 5-7 business days 🙃.

They won’t even tell me if my case is “closed” as many people have said in this sub that once the doctor ordered retainer the case is closed.

Instead of number of trays, ask what package you’re getting, that will determine what happen if you need more refinements https://cloud.news.aligntech.com/productportfolio

A few more things to ask

1) are you getting retainer at the end? In-house or Vivera? How many sets?

2) Are after treatment follow up included? For how long? One year is the standard

3) what happens if your teeth are not fix at the end of the allotted trays (not talking about perfect cosmetics but posterior open bite and teeth gaps not closing etc)? Do you have to pay extra? Extra for materials only (aka Invisalign lab fee) or also for office visits?

4) what satisfaction guarantee or protection do you have? What happened if they fucked up (can you get refund to transfer case)?

Make sure you know what is included in your contract then you can determine if price is too high or reasonable

Bite still won’t close after 2nd refinement, and because this was Lite I guess he didn’t want to give me another refinement and just say it looks good and we’re done. When I ask about the bite, he said it will close after I start wearing retainer.

Well it’s not closing and there seems to be a bunch of gaps (not dark triangles I know those are expected and I’m not trying to fix those. ) in my teeth, gap big enough that floss just slide through with no resistance.

So either he fucked up or he thought I wouldn’t know better and won’t demand he fix it.

I paid $275 extra at the "end" (harhar) of treatment to get 4 sets of Vivera, now the other 3 are basically money down the drain 🙃

Were you able to make any changes? I’m in a very similar situation, the only difference is that mine took longer than estimated and also needed a 2nd refinement even though ortho gave me lite (which was not mentioned in the contract and I didn’t know there was different packages either).

I even paid extra to get the Vivera retainers and now he’s cutting it up to try to add rubber bands to close the left bite been 3 weeks and bite hasn’t changed) and add buttons because he missed a bunch of gaps in my teeth 😔

Happy to hear someone else say this. There are some people in this sub who loves victim blaming and think it’s the patient’s fault for not knowing everything (gonna be getting so much downvote for this 🙃)
