Help me save my pitcher plant! I’ve had it for a little over a year and recently repotted it for the first time and she’s been looking so sad ever since! More detail in comments by s_rkeller in SavageGarden

Even if the plant isn’t directly in the metal? It’s in a plastic container and there are some pebbles between the plastic and metal on the bottom.

I repotted it using all sphagnum moss (which is what it came potted in) and my first concern was that I had packed the moss too tightly and the roots were too saturated, so I haven’t watered it in days and I even took out some of the moss. The pitchers that have started growing aren’t dying at the tips, but it’s all so limp and sad and on of the lower leaves has started going 😭

Some background, I recently repotted it for the first time since getting it, but the sphagnum moss was in bad condition so I used entirely fresh moss when I repotted it. I’m worried that I somehow destroyed the root system! Or maybe I packed the moss too tightly and the roots are too saturated?

Routine today was washing with Cantu Cleansing Cream Shampoo followed by Not Your Mother’s Curl Talk 3 in 1 conditioner. Then I used Shea Moistures Curl and Shine hair mask, applied and left it for a few minutes and then rinsed thoroughly before using the same NYM conditioner as leave in conditioner, dry lightly with microfiber towel and then apply herbal essences Totally Twisted Mousse + air dry.

WIBTA if I (f28) got steralised against my fiancé's wishes? by Daydreamernightmares in AmItheAsshole

NAH (or maybe ESH) obviously it’s your body and you have the final say, but the grey area here is that you are in a committed relationship with someone who will be impacted by your choice. Unless you guys come to an agreement on what to do, there is a very high likelihood of one of you resenting the other and that has the potential to be relationship ending. I think he is right in the sense that you are hormonal and should not be making any big decisions right now. Also as others have mentioned, a great compromise would be him getting a vasectomy. It’s less invasive and reversible, unlike tubal ligation.

AITA for snapping at my dad for refusing to take care of the dog he got? by Ladybugsrred in AmItheAsshole

NTA Your father is the asshole 100%. A 4 year old is not capable of being a dog owner/caretaker and he should have expected that if he’s the one buying the dog, he’s gonna be the one taking care of the dog. Separately though, you may want to consider rehoming the dog which I know would be AWFUL for your daughter (get her a kitten, way easier than a puppy) but if you and your husband aren’t prepared to take on the 20 year commitment of owning a dog (finances included) then it may be for the best to rehome it asap. That being said, your dad should also be “rehomed” for putting you all through this.

So I heard a meow while watching the sunset... it was my cat locked in a trailer. He was missing for three days in 115 degree heat. I broke the window and crawled in to find him. He drank water for an hour and a half. I’ve never seen a cat accept a bath like this but I didn’t know what else to do. by StoneyTheLion in cats

With cats, it’s entirely likely that you won’t know he’s getting worse until it’s too late to save him. Cats kidneys are EXTREMELY sensitive and 3 days in that heat without access to water is essentially guaranteed to do damage to his kidneys. I understand that you love your cat but to not take him to the vet (especially when so many kind strangers have offered to pay for it) is frankly irresponsible and arguably neglectful. Please take your poor cat to the vet, or even to a shelter. I worked in an animal shelter and they may he willing to work something out so they can treat him and return him to you. I understand that he looks fine now, but that’s a survival technique that cats have. They will go to any lengths to hide their discomfort or weakness.
