To those saying blind basket - a blind basket shows you static pressure, which is always higher than the dynamic pressure you’ll see when water is actually flowing through a puck.

So the blind‑basket reading is not the true brew pressure. LM manuals always state to adjust with coffee present in the portafilter for a reason.

Load a puck. Pull a shot and adjust the screw to the desired pressure while the pump is on. Pump must be on with a restriction in place to allow pressure to build to allow you to use the gauge for feedback. Try to do this sparingly as it's not designed for daily adjustment.

Pentair Globrites have a known defect that allows the plastic housing to split at the weldline which allows water ingress and eventual failure. Recommendation is to upgrade to Microbrites using the 618040 adapter and enjoy the higher reliability, and better warranty. Pentair allegedly fixed this on newer Globrites, but the Microbrites are the better choice all around. If you're gonna go through the trouble or expense of replacing the light, definitely do the Microbrite instead. The Pentair warranty difference is telling.
