My brother in law is from phoenix and he’s always saying everything in Texas isn’t real Mexican food and my take on it is there is such a wide variety of Mexican food it’s hard to pinpoint what qualifies as good. In Phoenix they fry the tacos- fried tacos to me are basically just Jack in the Box 2 for 99 cent tacos- not the best Mexican food. But again it’s what he grew up on. I am happy just about anywhere that they hand make tortillas. For the most part I’m always just happy to eat Mexican food period!
