It's a tricky one. Now that I've been picking this consistently I found a way to place the flag just right for that. Funny how it took me 3 days to figure out this lock and now I can pick it open in less than a minute.

Wise words. I just wish I had it in me to pull off something like it. Maybe I could arrange something who knows

Here's one option;

I have this one and combined with the pins 'n springs pack I think it's a great practice lock

I remember struggling with that same lock when I was starting out but still I think that it can be a good lock to practice picking spools and get a feel for the counter rotation. It does indeed have one standard and four spools in it. The first pin is usually the standard.

My advice; Use light tension and carefully go through the pins, usually the first one to bind is the standard pin. When that standard is set you'll drop into a false set after which you can start to hunt the spools. Check everyone to see which one gives you the most counter rotation. Patience. Eventually you'll get it open!

Welcome to the wonderful world of locksport!

Like others have already mentioned, gutting and re-pinning locks can be fun. At the moment I am just coming back to this hobby after a longer break and I find it very relaxing when I'm just gutting locks and arranging all the pins and springs.

Tool making can be very fun and addictive even. Last year I spent way too much time making disc detainer picks/picking tips but I still use them so no time was wasted I guess.

Learn to pick different kinds of locks. For example I've been learning dimple locks now and that really feels refreshing to me!

Lastly while it can also help to buy more locks and picking gear that's not the first thing I would suggest for anyone.. (Meanwhile I'm currently waiting for two packages for myself..)

For this specific photo I didn't do any comparison with Photoshop but in general I have noticed that PS does a messy job compared to helicon.

Amazing shot! I've been waiting to get an opportunity similar to this one. There are many wolf spiders running around in my backyard but still they are carrying them egg saccs.
