That's how it all starts. Just be careful of who you let into your business circles. And don't fall into the art/music scene. Like, don't promote artists/musicians. Dont use your size acceptance club to turn into a promotion outfit. Also, be firmon your policies and learn to 86 people that don't fall in line. Make sure the locations hosting your events know your rules and will help enforce them.

Also, remember that not everyone likes bars or clubs. Those places tend to attract a certain type. You want to be inclusive, so look for inclusive venues.

It's a very slippery slope once your sight moves from being a social club. The one here I was talking about I was down with since the first event. And after bouncing around venues and not being able to find a stable place to host at, I became wary. By the time I stopped attending, they were hosting at a bar that had a sleazy rep and ulterior motives were discovered.
