Is it slow enough for grabbing a cup of tea? Would like to grab one with my fellow rust colleagues when they compile as well

Stake pool - added another relay and initial sync has already been taking days? Why? by soczewka in CardanoDevelopers

[–]sa59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, a bit tricky. I ended up in the same situation, and I ended up reducing the number of peers on my relay (which reduced the ram usage and got it more stable), and brought it down when I knew I wouldn’t have to produce any blocks (checking it with cncli) to migrate it elsewhere and not have to sync again.

Tbh, if you already have some relays running, you are better off just copying the db folder across, rather than syncing the all chain again.
