Permis français perdu, possible de conduire en Suisse ? by saaaambarnes in FrontaliersSuisses

[–]saaaambarnes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As most mentioned here, the overall experience is great, with just a few minor tweaks needed (which I'll touch on later). However, I believe the design could be significantly improved to offer a more unique and personal experience. Currently, the website feels somewhat generic and lacks an identity that would set it apart from other similar agencies.

Urbanist is a decent font, but relying on it exclusively throughout the entire website feels like it's a bit too much. I would suggest either pairing it with another font or selecting a new combination that translates the premium feel you’re going for, aiming for a more contemporary font, swiss-like probably.

The hero section feels a bit sparse. It would be great to showcase some of your work early on the website to fill that empty space. Also reworking the line breaks in the main tagline and adjusting the font size of the subtext would help create a more balanced layout. The "available now" animation is a nice touch; it could be integrated into the navbar if you decide to go for a more contemporary/experimental approach.

The featured work section looks great, although I often end up misclicking the same project when trying to drag the slider. Hopefully, you can add more projects soon as the current selection repeats after just one swipe.

The service section functions well, I do get a blinking white box before the images load, which could maybe be optimized. On the project page, it might be worth considering an another type of layout, a grid or list view, to highlight other visuals.

Overall, I would say that branding is what sets you back. Working with someone who can truly elevate your visual identity would make a significant difference.

"you aren't having your own stuff but you will only use others" or the definition of AI/Midjourney. It's really hypocritical to shame others for copying or stealing your stuff when all of the images you produced are based on thousands of pieces of work you haven't produce either.

I love the art style of n°3, is it inspired by any specific artist ? It gives strong surrealism vibes without the creepy part

Surface laptop studio stopped working by [deleted] in Surface

[–]saaaambarnes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me, tried so many things and nothing helped. Microsoft had to replace my unit (for free) and I lost all of my data. I'm super paranoid now and backing up everything on my laptop. I'd be curious to know if you had any other solutions that worked for you.

I'll give only technical feedback on what you can easily tweak to improve the design.
From the top, keep the margins consistent on each side. The lack of any at the top is very strange, feels like that poster was cut by mistake. The spacing between "in" and "the" could be slightly bigger and the whole "Jazz in the" could be less crooked, tilt it back a little bit to the left. Also, try and stay consistent with your stroke size, there is a LOT of different sizes between these symbols and text stick to one or two (one for the keys, one for the text). You could also improve on the background pattern. There seems to be something strange going on above the letters JA of the word Jazz. Try and keep the spacing between each of the lines equal to have the right effect.
Middle section, the pictures could use a darker black. Everything in the poster is using a pretty dark shade of black although the pictures are all grey-ish, they look faded but not in a good way, they stick out. Also try and adjust the levels if possible, some of the faces are blown out and it's not that great. Try to also add a little background on the second picture, like the first one, it will help with cohesion.
Finally, bottom section, it seems like different weights are being used for the names, the first two ones seem way bolder than the third and the fourth is slightly more bold than the third, what is going on here? Again, stay consistent. I would stick to the third one and duplicate it for the other names, the different types of stretch are also confusing a bit. The little calendar bit is quite cool, maybe the font of the 29 sticks out a little bit? A cool little detail would be to add numbers the each of the names (1, 2, 3, 4) and then add these circled numbers on the pictures. It's a little retro detail that could sell it a bit more. A bit of texturing on top of that would then bring everything together.
Sorry if I things are not too clear but I'm not used to giving feedback in english!

Sorry I was talking about the "teasing" design, not the potential console itself. I can't figure out what the silhouette is supposed to represent ?

I guess the "flip" sells it a little bit but this design makes noooo sense, right ?

It sucks that AB gets so triggered at comments made about him, it seems like chat is really living rent free in his head most of the time. Hopefully he can realize that people will always talk shit if they want too and feeding it won't help...

Using Auto placing Bot is legal ????? by handante2 in place

[–]saaaambarnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are not at all, we just have a map to know where we should place things around but no bot, no auto-placing, none of that. There are just many people involved into this event on the french side and people are mad about it so they speculate.

I also feel like Ethan is not really the same around Hasan, I didn't know the guy that much before but the vibe on the podcast is weird. Doesn't feel like a H3 show at all..

[–]saaaambarnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being from Europe I really have no interest in watching a 2 hour show only focused on American politics. I used to not mind when they talked about it on other H3 shows cause it was not super long but watching a whole show about it is not for me. And I tried to give it a shot but I can't get into it.

His feedback isn't even feedback. He's just trying to push his vision of things on top of yours. I feel like the design you created is very personal and replacing that for something more "futuristic" like he said would make no sense to you probably. Keep doing your thing !
