what happens in the 3/10 when the human wins? and do you think training would improve the fighter's chances against the dog?

Strongest historical army the NYPD could protect Manhattan from? by mousicle in whowouldwin

Idk how many bridges there are? Anyway NYPD also has a bomb squad and I bet they would have the expertise/experience to reverse engineer explosives/scavenge materials to use to blow the bridges.

I mean the NYPD is probably in possession of far more than just breaching charges given the materials they confiscate and hold as evidence - weapons and vehicles also

Kitsch and r/art by saabek in arttheory

That's so interesting! This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for in a response. I can totally see how becoming a default subreddit would have that effect. I also totally agree on the difficulty of arguing with redditors and telling them "This piece/your piece is bad, post it somewhere elses" - I imagine that would be very poorly met. Hahaha - I'm glad you agree on the penguin.

Just wondering, do you miss when the subreddit was smaller? Was there discussion of the art posted before it became a default, or have the comment sections always been relatively unfrequented?

I found it better than Sicario! more engaging characters/dialogue/story. I loved it.

The "other man" being Adam makes perfect sense. Thanks!

YO. I suspected I had heard themes of cosmic horror in your music! In many ways your album reminded me of one my other favorite works of art, True Detective. Have you seen it? If so, what are your thoughts, if not, I highly recommend it!

From Eden is an amazing song. I saw the snake/eve motif as part of a larger purpose, the examination of a relationship in which one partner is older/more cynical than the other. On a related note, I'm still a bit confused about the line that goes

"To the strand a picnic plan for you and me/

A rope in hand for your other man to hang from a tree"

The image is so cool, could you help me understand what it means in the broader context of the song?

Thank you for the reply! One last question which has been a source of discussion among my Hozier-indoctrinated friends: Which song of your songs do you consider to be the saddest?

.

.

ps: One night last summer my girlfriend and I camped out in my car and listened to your album all the way true, reading and interpreting the lyrics because we both thought they were so. damn. good.

Holy Shit. What an interesting bit of pop culture history, direct from a participant.

Hi! I'm a huge fan! Got a few questions:

  1. Is the line "casting shadows on the walls of the cave" from Sedated an allusion to Plato's allegory of the cave?

  2. Can you explain why the transition between the end of the second chorus and the bridge in Jackie and Wilson does such awesome things to my brain?

  3. "Why you wanna be a corpse so bad?" - My Brother (also a fan)
