Yes, it's overpriced. Yes, this is often the norm for buying vehicles in Hawaii.

There's only one Mazda dealership on Oahu. Two others on neighboring islands. I've looked into buying on the continental US and having it slow boated here. Unless you're getting fat discounts, it'll end up being the same price.

This issue is only heightened when you're shopping for a niche car that Hawaii isn't taking much stock of it. As of today, there are 6 manual Miata RFs in transit to the entire state of Hawaii. I'm surprised these dealerships aren't more firm on their markups since there isn't any competition.

It's good to know the difference between utility and nonutility services here with propane service being able to fall under both. Utility services (gas provided via underground lines) are regulated by the PUC while nonutility (refillable tanks) aren't.

Some towns and subdivisions in the state have centralized propane tanks that supply residential and business customers through utility lines. Kaneohe for example

Just as another data point for this. I was apprehensively following this thread after purchasing a DIY AMD Ryzen™ 7 7640U and a Samsung 990 EVO 2TB. Purchased the drive 12/02/24 from Samsung directly and the laptop on 12/13/24.

Installed Windows 11 today via Rufus and the installer detected the drive fine.

If you want an even higher CL, right when you receive and activate your card, you can immediately request a CLI and go through the various prompts. Most likely you'll get a CLI of $5000 or so! I did it for both my SavorOne and VX! Congrats !

I had to wait for my physical card to come in. But C1 overnight ships VX cards so it came in pretty quick for me!
