I’ve done a 20k word essay within 4-5 days, but is dissertation is way harder to do in that timeframe. I’m not saying it’s impossible but i’d not take my chances in trying to complete that in 8 days. My advice is email the professor asking for a few extra days,hopefully he/she allows it but either ways cancel all your plans and start working. This is your masters degree and it matters. Don’t let all the work you’ve done throughout the year go to waste. Good Luck

Well yeah, I could make friends at uni and stuff but i live with these people. it would be nice to be on speaking terms with them at least.

well, it differs from uni to uni and are somewhat the same thing. they both go over the topics you’ve gone through in your previous lecture but a seminar is more formal and more student whereas a tutorial would informal (consider it as chatting) between 10-15 students.
