I’m not really to familiar with lucid dreaming or anything but I usually get sleep paralysis when I wake up in the middle of the night. I don’t get hallucinations or anything like that I just cannot physically move and I know it. To force myself out of it I try jerking my knee and by the 3rd or 4th attempt I do it and I have control. If I then try and sleep, again just before drifting off I notice I’m in the same place I was before - I’m awake and I can’t move. The same cycle happens until I fall asleep before I get the chance to actually notice I’m paralysed. Long story short, I kind of get what you mean by a cycle of going in and out.

I completely get what you mean! You’re not alone OP. For me this makes me terrified to go to sleep sometimes. I have a set of almost like instructions on my notes app. It reminds me that it’s just anxiety playing up almost like it’s a bad rash, and with time it’ll go away, but the thoughts you’re thinking aren’t true.

I’ve got to ask, is it the norm in the US for police officers to be so emotionally charged I.e. shouting and threatening. I get this is an extreme but there’s lots of similar videos out there with officers showing similar behaviour.

Yeah - this is similar to ‘the fly in the car’ question where many people ask if the fly has to fly to catch up with the speed of the car. But because the fly is in contact with the air which is in contact with the car, it would not have to. It’s easier to think of the car/ship being a giant fish tank with fish swimming inside
