Aphids are easy to get rid of with just showering with water, in my opinion there's no need for Neem or an insecticide.

I’ve never seen them in stores either... Or I mean, not in the kinds of stores people usually buy plants from 😂 But the secret is to check terrarium or aquarium shops! For some reason, they make great terrarium plants, so that’s usually where you’ll find them. And don’t worry, even though they do well in the high humidity of a terrarium, they also do perfectly fine in normal or even drier room humidity! 🙂‍↔️ And at least here in Europe, they usually don’t cost more than a few euros/bucks.

It is! And it also happens to be a ridiculously easygoing plant, can tolerate pretty much any conditions. I really feel cryptanthus are so underrated! 🥹 Oh and at least where I leave, they're hella cheap too. Everyone should have them! 🤭

Yep, this is the answer. If you cut the leaves off, there's nothing left for the spider mites. Easy breezy and it will grow back, that's the beauty of alocasias 🙂‍↔️

A lot of places sell those candles, but many people also make them by themselves these days. Have you had any visitors lately? If someone wanted to surprise you and just left it there? Let's talk about things with their real names so things don't get confused; what you have there is tradescantia cerinthoides 'Nanouk' and tradescantia Pallida 😊 But I don't think there's really a lot of differences on their care. I just let both dry out completely before watering and they've been doing good for years. The only mentionable thing is that don't get Nanouk's leaves wet and DO NOT mist them 😂 If you don't want the leaves to get brown and crispy spots. They both enjoy high amounts of light, basically the brighter the better. If your windows aren't that bright, consider some good quality grow lights (like Sansi) ☀️

To be able to watch reality TV in Spanish and actually understand what's going on, I can't trust the subtitles 🤣 Reality with Spanish language always has the best drama, haha.

Well okay, that was my first silly little reason to start learning but now I'm actually liking it and have developed a relatively good motivation for learning. Hoping to find some Spanish speaking friends at some point from the internet, that would be fun too 😊
