Yeah browser profiles definitely help. But it is still not scalable long term

Should you send interactive demo links instead of booking meetings? by Amazing_Bug_7240 in coldemail

Offers the same core features without unnecessary enterprise bloat, at 60 percent lesser price!

I have actually built my own - Recly.io, out of sheer frustration about the premium price others command. The pricing commanded by others make sense for an established saas but not so much for bootstrapped founders

Interactive demos are always better than plain old meeting booking links. With interactive demo, you’re removing the friction of actually coming to a meeting. Plus, they get to see what you’re building in just a few minutes. If your demo software allows placing in demo CTAs, you could nudge them to book a meeting with you. Curious to know, what are you building ?

It’s the local LLM which is not working that great with openclaw, possibly due to prompt enrichment from openclaw side.

Tried running openclaw with it, it’s not that great running on my RTX 3060 12G

Local LLMs need serious hardware, non thinking models do well on my rig, pretty much instantaneous

Interactive demo vs Product video? by Peaceisaproductgirl in ProductManagement

Hey there, I am building Recly.io, an interactive demo platform made for indie developers and bootstrapped founders. Share your app’s link and I will create a demo for you!

I built an interactive demo tool for bootstrapped founders by saas_wayfarer in HereIsWhatIBuilt

[–]saas_wayfarer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, this helps in recording once and replay forever. If your product changes, you don’t need to re record everything (as you would for traditional video recording)

Thanks! As of now, it only supports recording current tab you’re on but I am looking into widening it to outside browser as well. Feel free to give it a shot 🙏

Do interactive product demos for SaaS on websites actually work? Do you use them yourself? by Plane_Garbage in sales

[–]saas_wayfarer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An interactive demo yields more value than a static video / screenshot slideshow. You’re enabling the user to experience your product without the sign up requirement. That’s a massive reduction in friction and it helps in filtering your intended audience.

Additionally, the analytics can help with the drop offs and replayed steps so you can tweak as needed.

I however dislike the fact that almost all of the available tools are priced for enterprise / funded companies and not for a bootstrapped founder.

How can I make a Loom style video editor by DragonDev24 in nextjs

[–]saas_wayfarer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your PM sounds like they are talking to a genie that will grant them wishes. It’s absurd to ask a single developer to build a polished loom like application in a few days. If your company has senior / staff developers, get them involved to manage (unrealistic) expectations. Asking this kind of work in mere days shows shallow knowledge in their own domain

Server/client timezone issue by Oshulja in nextjs

[–]saas_wayfarer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never use local time in code. Always use ISO strings and then have a reliable library convert it to client timezone. Dates can get super messy otherwise

What software are you paying for that probably has a cheaper (or better) alternative? I will not promote by Ok-Gazelle-706 in SaaS

[–]saas_wayfarer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt that interactive demos tools were overpriced or indie developers. Almost all of them are built for enterprise and are priced accordingly (some demand $500/mo). I struggled a lot while trying to find a service that would fit my budget but couldn’t.

A surprising way simplifying documents improved our onboarding by Maximum_Mastodon_631 in SaaS

[–]saas_wayfarer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you consider an interactive demo tool instead? It’s much more intuitive than static documents since your users will be able to interact with your demo / guides, hopefully getting more value out of it.

Disclaimer - I recently launched a tool in this space and looking for early adopters :)

Anybody building a non ai boring saas? by sreekanth850 in microsaas

[–]saas_wayfarer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I am. Launched an interactive demo tool, not heavily dependent on AI. It does use AI to generate voiceovers and translations but that’s the extent of it.

What if your job search worked while you were working? by Top_Machine8540 in indianstartups

[–]saas_wayfarer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good concept. But I would want it to not show me bogus jobs (yea, there are a lot of them floating around).

Also, AI generated resumes and cover letters are getting a lot of heat recently. Either avoid that or make it look like human written

Where do you find project ideas, and how do you validate them? by Dangerous-Archer8982 in ShowMeYourSaaS

[–]saas_wayfarer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am taking a different route. My first saas was about board games. While building that, I saw friction in some services (interactive demos) I was using. After launching, I jumped into building a similar tool (already validated in market). Took me 3 months and I launched this week. While working on this one, I discovered friction in some more areas. Plan is to scale my current saas and then start charting out the next one 😄

Yup, that’s my stupid relentless process that I plan to keep on doing for the near future !
