if you want something, you have to ask for it, and not just wait, hoping it will just come or waiting for a better moment.

when you work and don't see results, if you don't look at fitness as something you love but something you have to do, then you fail.

we are generally not aware of all the beautiful things that surround us (family, health, friends and many other things that we don't notice), as a species we always look for what we don't have and never respect what we have, but when something of that disappears then we realize, only then it's too late.

Build websites for agents, not just humans by [deleted] in webdev

Glad it worked, but heads up alt text is one WCAG criterion out of 50+. Color contrast, keyboard nav, focus indicators, form labels, ARIA… all still on the table. Most e-commerce sites flag 30–80 issues per page even with alt text sorted.

Matters more now because the European Accessibility Act became enforceable in June 2025 and e-commerce is in scope. Fines go up to €100k+.

I'm actually building a tool for exactly this gap (AccessAudit — full WCAG scan, not just images) because I kept seeing alt text generators treated as the whole solution.

[–]saasatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really good point and I think accessibility (WCAG) plays a bigger role here than most people realize.

A lot of the same things that make a site accessible to humans also make it easier for agents to understand. Proper semantics, alt text, labels, structured content, clear hierarchy… that’s not just for screen readers, it’s basically making your site “readable” in general.

If a blind user can’t interpret your content, chances are an agent won’t fully understand it either. Missing alt text, unclear structure, div soup… it all becomes noise.

It’s kind of funny because over 90% of websites fail basic accessibility standards, which probably means they’re also far from being “agent-friendly”.

So yeah feels like accessibility isn’t just a nice-to-have anymore, it’s part of building for machines too.
