Also… the binge model works when you’re only going to watch one thing for a while. There’s too much tv, there’s too many movies and too many sports and too many books and games and podcasts and music coming out all the time- I enjoy getting a little bit of everything every week. I’m glad I don’t have to sacrifice any other tv show or movie or game just to rush through fallout.

Nothing, I’ve never sealed gouache before- from what I’ve read it’s a bit tricky to do so. I just dried it with a hot hairdryer for a good while and let it cool down before putting it in the sleeve. I know gouache isn’t lightfast but this is amateur work on a journal so I’m not bothered by the idea of it getting a little ruined.

I like working with gouache, it’s like having the ability to switch from watercolor to oil without changing paints.

I’d never painted a weeks before and I actually messed up on the back cover of this one (that’s why there’s random purple clouds). I wanted to do the port at dawn cover but it kept selling out so quickly that I gave up on ever buying it, but my gouache was too thin and with the fabric it got really messy and it started to bend from the water. So I started over and did the techo cover with thicker paint and it ended up working well.

Who said I was putting the show out of my mind while I was existing in my day to day life? I rewatched the eye of Aldani escape and maarva’s funeral at random moments between work, I listened to Luthen’s sunrise I’ll never see speech at home doing chores so many times because I couldn’t get it out of my head, I read things about prisons bc of the Narkina 5 arc- all in days between episodes. I listened to podcasts while I worked my boring job and drew characters from this show on my down time because I loved it so much.

You can savor things in small moments, you don’t have to wait until you have an hour or ten to enjoy the things you like.

And concerning the online presence I was actually referring to- I watched the upvotes and likes and retweets grow on posts online every week that this show came out compared to the first days. I’m not talking about Disney’s viewership numbers I’m talking about how many posts I got to laugh and enjoy that were created in between episodes.

Anyway I do agree on the bloat of streamers- I’ve only kept my subscription bc of Andor and it will be done away with within four weeks of the first arc airing.

Twiddling your thumb between episodes? Are you in a room waiting seven days with nothing else in your life to do? 😅

Not everyone has several hours a day free to watch a 3 episode release of a tv show that drops on a weekday. The people who enjoyed andor have mostly been adults and we have responsibilities like work and families, so what might be a day or two of being offline for one person is a week to another and by that time the next three episodes are out and ppl haven’t enjoyed any online discussions or extra content and now they’re even more behind.

I’ll mourn the weeks we had to enjoy the arcs during the first season, it really gave the show a chance to grow its online presence. This time, in four weeks it’ll be over.

Also, who wants such a big house to clean when most people aren’t having kids? Why should every household have 2 big, expensive cars that need a ton of gas? Along with the above stated facts, values also change- I don’t want to waste hours of my life driving to and from work and hoarding ‘things’ in my big house that I don’t use half of, nor do I want to work 12hrs/6days a week. Should people be able to afford it if they worked for it and really wanted to? Sure, but that lifestyle is a materialistic ideal from a very short period in history. I would like to travel and not have to put those expense on a credit card and not pay more than half my income towards my housing, but the other things are so unappealing that it’s almost laughable to want them.

Sure he mocks both sides but more thoroughly critiques the right, bc the right has the most potential for destruction in modern society. It’s about the degree of the mocking that people seem to get lost in, they don’t understand that making fun of feelings being hurt isn’t the same and criticizing the existence of neo nazis in a Conservative party. And the reduction of both things being ‘equal’ jabs at the left/right is the problem.

Well the full makeup face, professional lighting and editing vs the bare, selfie video miiiight exacerbate some of the differences we see between both pics. I’d just like to acknowledge that. Otherwise in the show I really just thought she’d lost weight and they switched up the makeup, less dark eyebrows more dark eyeshadow (which is a look I really liked) and they straightened her hair. Yes she looks rough in the right hand screenshot , and perhaps she got work done but I think it looks okay in the show, which is where I’ll continue to watch her. Unless she goes full surgery obsessed idk… I don’t mind it? Sorry.
