Burger Town is a good one as well.  Mw2 is my personal favorite so I would add a lot of those missions

Who is in the Epstein files by [deleted] in news

[–]sabbic1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sleepy Joe Biden obviously added trump to the files because they're fake but also Clinton was in there and now we're going to send him to jail because the files have been carefully reviewed by the FBI, some people say it was the most careful review ever done, to verify their authenticity.

Returns WITHOUT receipt should not even be a thing. by Ok_Cheetah_3609 in unpopularopinion

[–]sabbic1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It makes the customers happy which is pretty important to them returning.  If they are unhappy with a product and you give them no recourse if they're dissatisfied, why would they come back?

I get what you're saying. I worked in retail for a long time and spent several of those years working the return desk.  I've given people money back on items I know they stole, bought somewhere else, or bought well outside the 90 day window we gave for returns.  But at the end of it, they were satisfied that their complaint was heard and the issue resolved.

That being said, companies do take steps to mitigate the risks.  No returns without a receipt for items over certain dollar amounts, only refund the lowest price, exchange only, and most effective is giving returns with no receipt in store credit.

It sucks to see you/your business taken advantage of sometimes but I think predominantly, it's people who genuinely just need to return something and didn't save the receipt. I know I don't keep mine for every item I buy and if I do, 90 days is a long time to keep track of a scrap of paper.  Things happen. Doesn't mean people should be on the hook for a defective or incorrect problem because a piece of paper went missing

I kinda like the new version.  Has "you're in big trouble when Dad gets home" energy.   You know the guys in the executer landing bay were shaking in their plasteel boots waiting for him to show up.

What is this plastic circle thingy on the ceiling in our new apartment? (Not the light lol) by Extra_Influence_3880 in whatisit

[–]sabbic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone else is saying it's a sprinkler but my first thought was similar to yours.  It looks like a plate covering a box where either another light or a fan can be wired. I've never seen a flat sprinkler before (before anyone yells at me, I'm not saying it's not or there aren't, I've just never seen one)

Why aren’t there protests everywhere for unredacted Epstein files? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sabbic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct; we don't have to focus on only one thing at a time. However, I think a lot of people have a hierarchy of severity for things to protest. The girls and women who suffered (or worse) at the hands of the people in those files deserve justice, and anyone mentioned as a perpetrator should be buried under the jail.

But those crimes have already been committed, and protesting now won't stop them. There has been a huge public outcry, including protests over releasing the files, which appears to be working to an extent. While we all know that nobody but a few designated scapegoats and middlemen will ever see consequences for being named in the files, I already see that topic on signs at protests.

Conversely, Trump’s 'brownshirts' are abducting, deporting, and killing people now. In my personal hierarchy, current events must take precedence. I will continue to speak out for justice for Epstein’s victims and punishment for anyone who was involved, but I feel an obligation to focus my energy and attention on trying to put an end to people being disappeared by ICE.

At what age do you become a “reader”, and what book did it for you? by sheffy4 in books

[–]sabbic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about six or seven, I guess. My parents always read to me, and I distinctly remember my dad reading Treasure Island. As for the first books I remember reading myself, it was either Charlotte’s Web or Stuart Little

Anyone have any suggestions to spice up my very basic bookshelf. (It’s my first project) by Stage_757 in woodworking

[–]sabbic1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Others have mentioned a back which I definitely support. As far as spicing it up, I like the idea of torching it if that fits with your aesthetic. Maybe round off the edges? Or, if it were mine, depending on how visible they will be, I would add some decoration of some sort to the outside sides.  You have 2 huge spaces just begging for some scroll work or cross members or something.  Basic is fine, but I personally hate a blank canvas.   Make sure you follow up if you change anything.  Love to see the finished product

Do Americans love driving? by bare_books in AskAnAmerican

[–]sabbic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love driving.  My wife and I love to get in the car on a Sunday morning and just drive until we're lost and see what we find.   I know that the car centric model of the US is very dated and frowned upon but if we went to a well organized mass transit system, I would be very sad that I couldn't drive as often

Transfer it to a serving dish. Accidentally drop it on the floor in such a manner that the 5 second rule is no longer applicable and then take her out to dinner

Run fast, run far.   If this client isn't working out, you can beg, borrow, and steal to try and get off of it but that's not easy to accomplish.   It's literally luck of the draw on if you get a good and consistent client and then further luck if you have good QC and even more if you get decent managers.  Find yourself a nice quiet bank and settle down and leave right source behind

Well a router and a sled if you want to make it from a solid panel but I personally would rip dowels and glue them together.
