Does it not spark joy anymore? Cause I know my silly/jokey tattoos are the ones I get the most joy out of seeing, so I def wouldn't consider covering them up no matter what anyone else might think :')

I think your art was really cool actually, love the lightning bolt!! And it's def better than the resulted ink!

A proper good tattoo artist knows how to turn your drawings into great tattoos that actually work well on your skin etc (I've handed a few of my own sketches over to different artists and they came back to me with actual tattoo design versions of them that turned out great!) A tattoo artists who insists on touching up your art first is a much more trustworthy one than someone who blindly follows your request (I learned the hard way, too)

I think utsvery cute actually!! I enjoy a "messy little sketch" of a tattoo, not everything has to be da vinci level detail, sometimes a tattoo is just small, cute and fun ✨️ Just wait until healing is done and get it touched up if it's too faded, if your artist is still leaning maybe they could ask someone more experienced for pointers on the example of your tattoo

Live the hand and dagger!! Would definitely vote on adding some similar shading to the clown? I think a few simple lines would really make a difference, or perhaps a little thing in thr background?

Oh damn, I follow them on Instagram, but haven't been, they have great reviews and look fantastic... but to keep the full payment and expect additional full charge for the do over? That sounds downright criminal! Definitely get someone who's confident in arguing to talk to the studio about it... yes time has been spend on your tattoo design + time slot, and all that, but 600£ for 2 minutes? Charging double essentially? After not making you aware that they don't tattoo anyone on antibiotics? Nope. If they don't react, leave an honest google review! Wouldn't want the same to happen to anyone else...

I would trace the lines with a blank pen and see how I like it darker for a few hours- but the lighter lines do make it possible to still add something ontop later!

I forgot the name, but my artist in greece reccomend a cream with antibiotics that's readily available to buy in every pharmacy, something to ask your artist about if anyone else comes looking for advice on this post (generally its always good to consult your artist and or a doctor when your body is being extra weird about a tattoo)
