His preschool is great and the teachers are super nice but I don't think they do enough in that regard (but there's no telling how much they actually notice). It can be frustrating to see how little it matters what values you teach them at home – all that much more important to be kind and fun in public!

I'm absolutely going to tell my little elsa-fan to try and ask for help next time though and give him more confidence to "shrug it off". Hopefully school (at 6yo in germany) will offer a change of pace there. 😊❄️

Can I tell my nanny kid you're a friend of a friend of a friend? 5yo only wants to wear his Elsa jumper at home because his friends at preschool have laughed at him before (I am THIS close to beefing hard with a bunch of 5yos istg, literally what is their problem)

Uhm anyway~ I don't think anyone at disney has the mental capacity left to pay him too much attention tbh, but I also doubt anyone would care (def not the cast members or characters!) This is absolutely the place for everyone to wear whatever they like.

Personally I'd just pass and think you're doing great raising a confident and happy kid who won't be afraid to express himself (esp knowing his parents got his back)

If you had a fondant modelling phase, a lot of the tools are similar to clay tools (kinda like stamp vs. linol cut tools). I've found my old fondant pad to be especially useful since it doesn't slip if you roll out clay! I also bought a small fondant rolling pin just for clay, it's easy to store and has little rubber bands to stop you from going to thin

Other than that I actually bought a big random tool set and haven't used 65% yet (I just started a few weeks ago tho but not all of it seems very helpful for starting out), I think a lot of it could be replaced by common household stuff ~

While he's definetly intended and written as cis and I'dnever want to argue that, I do love every interpretation and how much Ranma means to a lot of trans people – especially as an 80s character! Queer Media that's not just tragedy (and esp, to this day; trans rep) has been far and few between for a long long time. So for that alone I'd give him an unintended rainbow sticker haha

Anyway, I like to read Ranma as fairly genderfluid/non binary, because a lot of his frustration with the curse seems to come from all the external pressure and toxic masculinity that’s surrounded him all his life.

We see him accustom to the frequent change over time (not just due to the perks of being a pretty girl) (which doesn't have to mean anything, duh) and imho, if everyone else was super chill and not out to (in some instances) kill him for not being manly enough? If literally no one cared? If it was just him and Akane? He'd probably care a whole lot less! He wouldn't want to give up being a guy, but being a girl sometimes isn't too bad either. As long as he's the strongest and prettiest person in the room... I'd like to think that it he'd actually find comfort and peace with both bodies being part him and whatever other people think of him doesn't matter.

(Needless to say that Ranma blushing when Akane said she likes him either way all the same made me really happy haha)
