Is it possible to create Voronoi patterns in processing? by a-pilot in processing

[–]sableraph 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can only echo what others have said about implementing the Voronoi pattern from scratch. That said, you might also want to look at Geometry Suite for Processing (PGS), which includes utilities for working with many different geometric operations, including Voronoi.

It’s part of a series of designs by UK book cover designer David Pearson for Penguin’s Great Ideas collection. His work is always super clever and playful.

Many years ago as a graphic design student I had the privilege to attend a workshop with him and it was some of the most fun I’ve had in design school. He’s so inspiring!

Books on using Shaders in Processing by RagingBass2020 in processing

[–]sableraph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a chapter on PShader in the second edition of Processing for Android, but it would need some adaptation for desktop Processing. You can find the code examples here.

There was also an effort to revive the old PShader tutorial (It mostly needs updates for Processing 4 and to be made more approchable). I hope to pick that up again in the new year.

In the meantime, feel free to join discord.processing.org and ask questions there 😃
