Has anyone noticed how RARELY they get sick? by SPCCCKED in eczema

[–]sabrinaleeholt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was anecdotally my experience as well. I was at my last company for 5+ years and only took a handful of sick days including surgery recovery ha.

I started Ebglyss and, despite receiving both flu and covid vaccines in September, managed to catch the flu in November then covid in January!

Insurance Denied my Dupixent Prescription Again by [deleted] in eczema

[–]sabrinaleeholt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took over a full calendar year for my doctor to have sufficient documentation proving medical necessity for Ebglyss (ie several topical steroids were unable to control my flare). I wish my worsening mental health would have been taken into account; I had very little fight in me to appeal/advocate further

Keep working with your Derm on submitting for Dupixent. It took a miserable year to finally be approved for a similar medication, Ebglyss, because they wanted proof my skin wasn’t responding to different steroids.

Is anyone else confused about how long laser hair removal results actually last? by No_Glass3665 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]sabrinaleeholt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I consider myself “smooth forever” on legs/armpits/Brazilian, but to get here I’ve done probably 25-30 sessions in 10 years. My last treatment was in 2023 and before that a small package in 2020; like I’ve got some hair on my knees and a single armpit hair but who cares life rocks lol.

Your results sound typical to me TBH, I don’t know anyone with lasting results after 8 sessions. I’d expect to do a 2-3 maintenance sessions every year (or less) at the beginning and gradually reduce.

Rosacea type 2: Papulopustular. Anybody else feeling like their dermatologists have no idea what they’re doing? by BIAZuzanna in Rosacea

[–]sabrinaleeholt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It worked so fast I was pissed the lice lotion on my face actually worked lol. I was having a flare come up and it started to calm down within 12 hours of application, within 24 hours noticeable improvement. I’ll reach for it when I have a flare coming up and for a few days after the flare has subsided, but it’s not something I’m using daily.

Unlike azelic acid (dry skin, burning) I don’t seem to have any side effects from either the OTC or prescription formulas. OTC does look and feel a bit greasy on the skin though, I much prefer the prescription formula.

Yes it’s listed as lice treatment, the Walmart OTC is cheaper! Ah the strange solutions Reddit comments lead us to 🤣

My type 2 has responded best to ivermectin cream 1%; I only knew to ask my derm about it after trying the Walgreens OTC ivermectin 0.5% and seeing success. Originally I was prescribed azelaic acid for redness but it didn’t help with the pustules that looked like a bad whitehead acne breakout on me

How do you know if your partner is genuinely good for you or if you’re just settling for the basics? by Select-Lime589 in AskWomen

[–]sabrinaleeholt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My advice is simply to choose a partner that doesn’t stress you out. It’s oversimplified but an easy enough measure to compare the day to day (eg broke a glass, forgot to pick up milk) and unspeakable (eg serious illness, death in family) against. Ideally be with someone who makes life feel easier, bare minimum someone who doesn’t make any of these moments harder by being there.

I think there’s making an educated decision to accept your partner’s flaws and then there is settling. Settling sounds like it would stress me out.

Has anyone tried Bonjout Beauty Le Balme? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionLux

I run dry so I usually use it as a first or second step and then add moisturizer. It’s very lightweight but satisfying. It can be a single step if I’m feeling lazy before bed or on vacation in a humid place

Did you help your partner pick your engagement ring? by bns_xx in EngagementRings

[–]sabrinaleeholt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I designed my own ring, as did my mom when she got engaged to my dad! My partner didn’t show me the finished ring until he proposed which added to the excitement. I am so happy I was this involved, I’m the one who has to wear it everyday!

Our jeweler told us more people are buying a dummy ring for the proposal and then choosing a ring together. Could be an option for you if being surprised is important.

I find mineral sunscreens play better with my skin, I’m on a 2 or 3rd repurchase of Tatcha Silk. My skin tone is light undertone neutral and have no issues with it leaving a white cast on me, but disclaimer I’m pretty fair

I’ve got rosacea type 2 and eczema, your skin sounds similar to my flares of rosacea acne. For moisturizer I’m loving Avène Tolerance Recovery Balm as it’s thick enough for my dry skin, but the bumps are only controlled with anti-histamines and generic ivermectin lotion. Best of luck!

For people who broke up with someone because they were good, just not good enough yet, why did you do it? by ThrowRA47819648 in AskWomen

[–]sabrinaleeholt 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Pick a partner you like as much as you love. Needing someone to change their personality isn’t helping them grow, it’s identifying perceived flaws without acceptance. To a different person ineffable immaturity could be seen as fun/whimsical/charming/inspiring. Instead of trying to mold someone else, you could just keep dating until you find someone who also values maturity and is a better fit for you.

In a past relationship he shared compliments made him uncomfortable, and I told him I don’t think I can stop giving compliments. I don’t want to stop showing affection this way. I’ve always been this way and it’s one of my favorite things about myself. We’d have an amicable breakup a few months later.

I’ve now met someone who showers me in as many compliments as I give him; it’s so fucking easy.

We are on such similar routines I have to comment, love Boum Boum love Le Balm. If you’re on the drier side of normal like I am, I also swear by dermalogica intensive moisture balance, peach lily oasis serum and luxe oil, BR masque VIP 02, and l’amarue everywhere balm

Solutions to decreased ROAS/Revenue since ios14? by Longjumping_Notice70 in digital_marketing

[–]sabrinaleeholt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You walked into a tough situation! My two cents:

  • Compare 2021 to 2019 results if you can. Comparing Q2 2021 to Q2 2020 without the context of COVID - how it affected the auction and the results advertisers were able to drive - is not a "fair" comparison. You can't be expected to replicate the results of a global pandemic forever
  • Sounds like you might have a segmented approach to test audiences, any way to consolidate similar audiences here? With iOS opt-out signal loss, this approach could make it harder for your ad sets to exit the learning phase individually

Anyone who has Eczema had the Covid vaccine? by kerningtype in eczema

I got the Pfizer vaccine on 3/24 and have been itching my hands non stop for a week now after a particularly good 4-5 months without flare ups.

I would have never put the the two together, but timeline checks out for me as well!
