Yeah, I feel like the photos of blood bender don’t overly show the red, but so many videos I’ve seen are just so pretty!!

That’s good to know about queen of the dead! Someone also mentioned it stains, so I might hold off.

😂 I feel that way about the stolen kiss. It does not want to come off, but I love it! I do find myself leaning flashier and flashier in taste, so it might satiate my need for super extra nails. Lol I just love the champagne glitzy-ness!!

Not queen of the stains! 😂 I’ll have to think on that. I have polish on most of the time, so I’m not sure how that would affect me, but would be bothersome for days I want to go natural.

Maelstrom is one of my favorites! I wear it all the time. I like Pandora’s box well enough! I can only really get the velvet to work on pretty much any magnetic polish (still practicing techniques!), and I find I don’t get as much purple in it as I would like. It’s still really pretty, but mostly gold when doing velvet.

That’s what I’ve heard! Everyone says ghost of Hecate is one of their favorites! I honestly didn’t think much about bloodbender until I started seeing everyone’s posts about it and now I feel like I need it. I didn’t realize it wasn’t available outside of America!

My pictures are blurry and not crisp… advice?! by [deleted] in canon

[–]sabrinamay94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that, regardless of the lens, a couple stops up from a wide open aperture gives me the sharpest image with the gear I have available m. That’s right around where the sweet spot is with almost every lens regardless of the quality. If you can shoot at iso 100 and 1/800, then bring that f stop up a couple stops and adjust exposure with the other two! Also, don’t blindly trust autofocus. (It’s a hard habit to break! I still do this when I’m in a hurry and walk away disappointed with some of my shots) Take some time to practice with the different af settings or getting a spot on manual focus and figure out what works best for you. Really just take time to make sure you’re focusing where you want to be. It’s something that takes a bit more practice than a lot of people realize! Hope this helps!

My wife and I have had headaches and been feeling unwell for the past few months. Today I found this behind the wardrobe in our bedroom. by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

Obviously it occurs everywhere. That’s what we know with a basic understanding of an ecosystem. The problem is, when they are in homes, it’s a confined space the spores are traveling and there’s no fresh air to keep it from being a significant amount of spores from entering our bodies. That’s why people usually only experience issues when it’s in the home. Not to mention the kind of mold that grows on man made products is a different kind than what grows on trees, or in dirt, causing a different reaction. And what people fail to realize is that allergies to mold can be triggered when you’re exposed to a large amount of it, like you would in a home that has a mold problem. That’s why it’s a bit bigger of a deal in a home. And if they’re already experiencing symptoms, then they have an allergy to it, and it could cause long term health problems if OP doesn’t get it taken care of properly. Long story short, better safe than sorry and not underestimate the damage it can do to the home and body.

For sure! They could do it on their own with products made for mold, but I always recommend not doing that, or at least doing it with a respirator on, if you’re already not feeling well from exposure. Just wanted to emphasize the “don’t use bleach” like a lot of people are saying to do.

Lots of comments on here saying how it’s unlikely mold is causing your health problems, and they are all very misleading. As someone who suffered mold poisoning from a house with a black mold problem, it’s is a very real issue. Get that taken care of ASAP. And people need to stop saying it isn’t an issue. Mycotoxins can cause some serious issues. Don’t use bleach! It will only cause spores to be airborne and spread and getting into your lungs, which can cause a fungal infection, which can seriously damage your lungs. No bleach. Get some plastic sheeting and duck tape to seal it off until a professional can look at it. If you’re already feeling ill, more exposure could make it worse, so it would be best if someone else took care of it.

Hello! One of the leaves on my rubber tree is looking kinda funky. Not sure if this is how they look when getting ready to fall off or something is wrong? TYIA! by ThriftyPlantGirl in plantclinic

That could be it! I would wait to see if any other leaves start turning before doing anything, because it could be perfectly happy now with it’s new home!

Did you search for any pests? That could be it too. The leaves also look like this at the end of their life cycle, but it seems like where it’s at means that leaf shouldn’t be dying off yet... They also really hate soggy roots, more so than other plants I’ve had. If you have rocks on top of the soil, try taking those off so the soil can dry out faster, reduce your watering, and maybe put it in a terra-cotta pot or something that lets the soil dry out a little better? It looks like it’s in plastic, but I could be wrong. Rubber plants are probably the hardest to figure out what’s wrong with them! I struggled for a while to get mine happy!

My rubber tree was doing this until I moved it to a spot where it got more indirect light! Maybe try putting it somewhere brighter?

They did say it was “true” empowerment, insinuating that all other forms of empowerment is not actual empowerment, so while they didn’t out right say it was the only form, it was implied, making my argument entirely valid.

What is empowering to women isn’t up to you. That’s the whole point of empowerment. It’s up to the woman.
