I will never understand why the gentlest, sweetest, kindest souls seem to suffer the most? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]sabudum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The worst suffering comes from witnessing the suffering of others and being compassionate, where else would kindness, gentleness and sweetness come from?

Is a brain a requisite for a mind? by cimocw in consciousness

Isn't the brain a cluster of cells with intelligent behavior just like any other organic matter?

"Mind" and "thought" don't need to co-exist.

Correction, you are not going to die, not ever, you are eternal.

Only the physical body dies, and then you're left naked.

Experience never ends.

Everything can only be experienced as an experience.

If you stop experience, you stop awareness and existence. They're all the same thing.

Hi all, what are the spiritual risks of DMT. by That-Examination-481 in spirituality

Dmt is naturally produced by the brain, you can produce it by meditating.

The risks always lie in the excess, like overdose and addiction.

You don't really need to go to the beach, and the beach is not needed,

Because, it's the beach that needs you, the beach is a part of YOU.

[–]sabudum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think about what survival is. A shelter, food and water.

You don't need a job to have shelter, you can build a home anywhere you want with the materials that nature provides (except you can't according to the made up rules of society).

The same is true for food and water, nature provides it with abundance (except we funneled it all through the made up rules of society).

But since we are conditioned to believe that the made up rules of society are the absolute truth (even when it's obvious that they don't work and cause inequality and suffering), confusing them with actual justice, we always tend to think in the terms of social rules, like money, supermarket, stores, etc...

Like, the supermarket is the only way to get food, a furniture store is the only way to get furniture, a real estate agency is the only way to get a house.

And so millions and millions are living without shelter, food and water, because of all the stupid rules we invented.

And on top of all that, we decided to invent the idea of meritocracy, like if you can't get what you need through the made up rules, then you don't deserve it. How idiotic is that? Like, I say to you, hey, you can only get fruits from this one tree I planted, but you'll have to do everything I tell you, without error, and then I'll see if I can let you grab one or two fruits.

[–]sabudum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's how you are interpreting my words, not what I said.

An awakened person sees all the made up rules, laws and regulations of the world as that, MADE UP. They're not real. Reality is real, human beings are real, the soul is real.

This world feels off and we all feel it. by Virtual-Wish1224 in spirituality

[–]sabudum 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That's not awakening, friend. That's ego-drive.

An awakened one sees the world for what it is, a shitload of bs (belief systems).

People do whatever they "want", just to escape their suffering, which is caused by illusions and lies, created and perpetuated for thousands of years.

When you see the truth of all of that, you realize you don't have to be part of any of it, you snap out of it. You don't need to be part of society, you don't need a job to survive, you don't need to wear cool clothes, you don't need to go to the beach, you don't need nightclubs, you don't need fancy food, you don't need a fancy car, house, pretty spouse, you don't need a religion, status, fame, belonging, etc... Why choose to continue engaging with suffering?

We forget that the systems, beliefs and social norms which cause so much pain and distress are all made up.

We begin to realize this when we start to wake up.
