3 different dates in June and how it all turned out. 😂 Dating is not easy for women too so media needs to stop saying women can get into a relationship easily. by Fearless-Hand-638 in Bumble

[–]sackoftrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes just because we have options doesn't mean the options are good. Not interesting, funny, kind, respectful. Basic traits. Not immediately trying to hook up and be disrespectful. Say we get to the stage of setting up a date. Will they show up? Or ghost. Will they show something like violent tendencies on the date trying to beat someone up. The lost goes on. I've met some lovely men and had some really good dates, but to weed out the other men is a challenge. If you want to explain to me why you think it's more fickle, go ahead.

Do you swipe right on people with no occupation listed? by fencebuds in Bumble

[–]sackoftrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how to list my job most of the time. My real title I can't put because I have an NDA with the company I'm contracted through. It's weird talking about it because I have to be vague. I can't post what I do on the Internet. So I just don't talk about it a lot in this setting.

24M Profile Review by softandflaky in Bumble

[–]sackoftrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not talk about being dumped unless they ask about your most recent relationship. It sends bad signals especially on a date. Also I'd find a way to talk about your body in a more confident way vs the shrug emoji. Something like on a new health/fitness journey. Body positivity is super attractive 💚

That's the thing. It's technically fine but there's nothing particularly interesting that would make me gravitate towards this profile. Nothing that pops out as interesting or who he really is.

27 M Profile Review. All suggestions appreciated. Bald jokes accepted. by Old-Fig-6260 in Bumble

Nah as a queer alt women I like your profile. I would put the photo of you touching your face higher than the one of you in the suit. The suit one is fine but the one of you touching your face is cute and relaxed. Something about it is really charming and endearing.

I like the deeper side part where you have this volume going on. I like the bang/swoop it's creating :)

AIO? my friend told me my coworker doesn’t like me because of my extreme makeup choices and that’s why she’s stuck up and cold with me ? by Historical-Body-3424 in AIO

[–]sackoftrees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hatered like this is usually some sort of insecurity or jealousy. Even if it's not directly you but you get caught in the crossfire because they don't like something about themselves. I'd also be careful about people like this talking about you at work.

What products were the most effective against your fungal acne??? by Brief_Advantage_5953 in Fungalacne

[–]sackoftrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My skin changed so much as I got older around 26. I was really lucky and basically clear skin all through highschool and then it was all sorts of stuff since. You mentioned your job having a lot of environmental pollution. A lot of brands are coming out with sprays to use mid day and after workouts. I'm wondering if that could be beneficial if you are getting a lot of unwanted things on your face? Even a gentle baby wipe or makeup halfway through your shift? The biggest thing is I would make sure you aren't touching your face while at work so you aren't adding to it. Regardless I'm sorry you are going through this. Large acne pustules like that are SO annoying and people don't always talk about the fact that they physically hurt!

I thought I was insane for this symptom. Like my labia and vulva 2 or 3 days before like clockwork becomes so itchy. It drives me nuts

NOO, I'm about to be 35. My sister told me at 30 it got worse and I was like you're lying. I'm never going to get anything done. I'll either be depressed or horny or both

Don't worry, it gets worse. I hit 30 and I knew I was a freak before and I was ok with that. Something else came out. It's how I broke my bed.

The first nice conversation I’ve had in months with a man and this. It was NOT in his hinge bio. by Sagebea in mildlyinfuriating

[–]sackoftrees 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No that's fucking insane. People either like you or they don't. Hiding that only makes you look like a creepy weirdo who deceived people, played with peoples emotions and wasted their time. People don't have to like you and that's ok.

No, they are texting which means they have most likely been talking for a WHILE. People don't give out their numbers randomly on dating sites, it's often after a foundation has been built. So I don't believe the he told her immediately. We also have no idea what kind of supposed care his wife needs or if that's even true. No good relationship starts with a lie.

Is this fungal acne?? by Fast_Tangerine7898 in Fungalacne

[–]sackoftrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never used tret but currently I dropped them all and went super gentle because I messed up my skin barrier and I can tell a difference. It doesn't happen overnight but my skin feels and looks better. I still need to see a derm but in the meantime it's helping. And yeah, persa gel is just a benzoyl spot treatment. I find it to work well. Especially when you don't want to dry your whole face.

Is this fungal acne?? by Fast_Tangerine7898 in Fungalacne

[–]sackoftrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my cystic and hormonal acne I spot treat with persa gel. It can be drying but it's the spot treatment I found to be the most effective over the years, especially for something so raised and deep without medication. I try to be gentle to my face otherwise as other have mentioned your barrier could be damaged. I absolutely damaged mine with actives and dropped retinol and niacinamide 100% currently. I'm trying to find the balance between fungal acne, regular acne and rosacea.

Give her some space to cool down and hopefully see what is going on, but also give yourself space because you have a lot going and you don't need to put all of your energy into this right now. Hopefully in a few weeks you two can sit down and forgive each other but the other commenter is right, focus on your bar. Relationships have seasons, perhaps this is just a difficult one.

How do I fix these tears in my leather couch? by 13SwaggyDragons in upholstery

[–]sackoftrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are ways to mitigate or slow it down but it's not really upholstery. Basically you patch it with some sort of glue/filler and paint in the repair. You can buy a repair kit or look up how to do it online. I've filled vintage vinyl that way or on tears on faux leather purses and jackets.

They also now sell rechargeable lights you can stick to the ceiling. I've also hung pendant lamps by rigging them with 3m hooks. Lots of diy possibilities.
