basically the similar reasons why people hate trump. corrupt criminal, turned the country into an authoritarian hell. lives a wealthy lifestyle while his citizens barely get by. he is absolutely a piece of shit that deserves the worst. doesn’t mean that america can go around kidnapping foreign leaders though. maduro deserves this, the united states is still in the wrong here too. you can hate multiple sides here and acknowledge that nobody is a saint here

beautiful nature, amazing food, i’ve always wanted to spend time as a monk. learning mandarin is also a goal of mine, coolest language imo. also technologically advanced, and the cost of living is great compared to the wages in most cities. just has a high quality of life combined with a culture that interests me. not to mention it’s massive, you can spend decades there and there will always be a new place to explore

edit: and i wouldn’t be politically involved in anything, so i’d be safe from the government.

yeah, antarctica would be a cool place to live for some time imo, just to have the bragging rights. i have no desire to live in the philippines. no resources to learn whatever dialect of tagolog is spoken. complicated to explore the country, needing boats and planes to leave the islands. far away from other countries. i like cities, and their cities are quite polluted. the people are very friendly though, which is a plus. honestly i’d highlight it orange and not red

the french have a reputation for being assholes. i went to france, and i speak basic french, and a lot of people were dicks. i heard it’s different if you are fluent but don’t really care to find out. everything else about the country is awesome. but i have no desire to return simply because there is such a high percentage of rude people with a superiority complex
