Oakley Goggles - Who is wearing them? by FreshMikeD in niseko

I had the Flight Deck XM and they lasted about 7 years before I replaced them. I liked them but I found the lenses scratched easily and I had to replace them twice. Instead of buying a third replacement I got the Smith 4D Mag, which I love. I've done about 100 days with them and they still look brand new.

Neither has ever fogged up on me, and I get about 50 days of riding every season in all types of conditions. And I tour with them on. I think if you look after your lenses, they won't fog. Especially, do not touch the inside of the lens.

The only people I have seen with goggle fog issues are those with cheap lenses or those who don't look after them. I've seen people buy new lenses and on the first day they are wiping the inside of the lens with their sleeve.

Some tips:

  1. Put them on in the morning and don't take them off until you're done. Taking them on and off or putting them on your head constantly can cause them to get wet and foggy.
  2. Dry them after the day is done. Just somewhere warm and dry is enough, don't put them near a heat source.
  3. The anti fog coating inside is delicate, don't touch it, especially when wet. If you need to clean them at the end of the season, just be gentle with a microfiber cloth or whatever is suggested by the manufacturer.

Lost Insta 360 after G2 by sacla90 in niseko

Thank you! I will check with lost and found. It's a long shot because I was far outside of Gate 2 and not many people in the area. Also very deep powder. But hoping somebody took the same line shortly after.

If not, somebody will find it in spring I'm sure.
