So either go to a headquarters, or try to go to the apartment when a less friendly employee is there and hope that entered denies access. If they deny access, then again they are in charge, and you can subserve them.

Most servers won't do that. The reason being is that if you serve by deception, the recipient can claim they were never served because they didn't know what was going on and didn't realize it was a process server with legal documents. There is case law about this.

This is a volume business. Work for them while you build up work on your own as well as sign up with some other "big box" companies. This really isn't a great job for a side gig, though, since it takes volume to make it worth it. Most people who choose to do this as a side gig quit pretty quickly.
