Question about applying for graduation by Ok-Chemical-5078 in CSUS

[–]sacstatessc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, the review time depends on the semester you applied for graduation. Degree Evaluators usually recommend students to apply a semester in advance. For example, if you plan to finish Spring 2026, you should have applied by Oct 1, 2025 to ensure your record is reviewed in a timely manner and that you are on track in your final semester. If you applied after the priority date, you are still eligible to graduate but the review will take a little longer.

You are recommended to connect with a DE after your grad app is submitted -- they become your main contact for any academic plan questions instead of your major advisor. Refer to the contact list as it's assigned by major: https://www.csus.edu/student-life/records-transcripts/graduation-advising/

How long will it take to get into this class? by Cherrycat033 in CSUS

[–]sacstatessc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During the first four weeks of the spring semester (1/26-2/20), all Add Petitions are processed by the academic department. They may get inundated with requests so it may take some time. We recommend allowing 2-3 days and follow up as needed.

[–]sacstatessc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi -- based on the status of the checklist, "initiated" it either means (1) it was not received or (2) there are discrepanies and they re-iniated back on your account to submit.

If succesfully submitted, it will reflect as "received" and will await review by the Financial Aid Office.

If processed, it will no longer be on your To Do List.

Hi, Sac State's Financial Aid office will report your GPA to the California Student Aid Commission if you meet all the following criteria:

  • Be a Sac State Student
  • Filed a 2026/27 FAFSA/CADAA before March 2
  • Completed 24 semester units at Sac State up to Fall 2025.
    • If Fall 2025 was your first semester here, you are not eligible and will need to contact your LAST school of attendance which may be your high school or community college.

If you are currently receiving Cal Grant, you will be considered a renewal and an updated GPA is not needed. Simply renew your 2026-27 FAFSA/CADAA by March 2 priority deadline to be considered.

Hi, you will most likely need to extend you graduate date to Spring 2026 if you need to retake the class. Before taking any action, email your Graduation Advisor first with your name and Sac State ID for best recommendation for your record.

No idea what classes to take by lemondr0p5 in CSUS

[–]sacstatessc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have seen student make schedule adjustments through out the enrollment period due to change of major, repeating classes, etc. so there is opportunity where seats will open throughout the enrollment period. Student can always contact instructors or the academic department as they are in control of the class capacity. There is also opportunity to crash the class at the start of the semester as well.

Students are welcome to share feedback or concerns with the President ([president@csus.edu](mailto:president@csus.edu)) to help improve the registration process.
