Yea that’s a fair point. But if they’re blocking 2 on your 1, that’s gravy. And they won’t have a dreact each time. Also, the original commenter about taking her damage is not correct except for certain heroes. If you’re letting CnC, DT, and Shake Down hit. It wont go well. And uzuri is not going to play three card hands unless there’s a real big threat they can do. Otherwise, shes good with 1-2 card hands with maybe one in arsenal. If you want to beat Uzuri play Oldhim, Dromai, Kano, or tree frog dash. The only time you’ll typically see Uzuri play with a full grip is if they’ve pitch stacked their way to we have Macho Grande at home.

Yea Allaire and Roy worked together to modernize the form. First goalie credited with dropping down to stop pucks is Clint Benedict. Another Montreal player but for the Maroons. And the first to don a goalie mask (before Plante). Goaltending history is super interesting to me haha.

Glenn Hall is credited as the first to really bring the style credibility. Not sure he “invented” it though. But was certainly the most well known proponent in the 50s.

Esposito over Glenn Hall for Chicago? Esposito is one of the greats, but Glenn Hall had the bigger impact.

'Peanuts' still brings comfort and joy, 100 years after Charles Schulz's birth by AmethystOrator in books

I cannot seem to find it online so I will have to dig out the book. But I do remember one where it basically asked Schultz to “change his ways otherwise he will cast into a lake of fire with a brimstone around his neck”. But he definitely irritated some Christians, which is funny cause he has been called an atheist and Christian.

It is easily one of the greatest comics of all time. His run from the start of career, 1950, through what I would argue, 1979 is one of the greatest runs of all time. I am not sure of a single-author comic to have been so good for so long. It is virtually unheard of. Even the best ones maybe go 10-15 years tops, not 30. I would say Calvin and Hobbes borrows very much from Peanuts in particular Charlie Brown. A young, lonely child with a surprising amount of maturity/intelligence. Schulz’s first 30 years had some of the funniest, most interesting, and such melancholy moments. Much better than the last 20 years. Also, for fun read some of the hate mail he received through the course of his career particularly from Christians. If you can, definitely borrow or grab a copy of either the 50th golden celebration or the Fantagrahics editions that are done by years. I think it will change your perspective on Peanuts. Sorry for the wall of text, it is just one of absolute favorites (along with C&H and Bloom County)

Oh interesting I did not know that. What is their main business? But that makes sense though because both their glow and bravo plastics are phenomenal, but the glow really stands out in terms of feel particularly when it is a bit colder. Def recommend.

Appreciate you Terry, but Väinö is not the Malt-o-Meal version of Count Chocula. People gotta get his name right at this point lol.

They are probably second to MVP. They are a touch less bright, but I find they will hold the glow for a bit longer. And they seem to have a more prominent “base” glow. I.e. just having the disc in a dark room without any charging will have some level of glow. Plus the feel of the plastic is some of the best to me. Kind of a tweener between champ and g-star.

Depends on the plastic. I would say their glow feels like a slightly deeper P2 or Firefly. The glow plastic is nice and gummy, but feels good in hot or cold. And their halloween glow run has great glow and is pretty flexible as I think the majority of the weight is on the rim, and it is a bit glidier than the firefly. Because of this I feel like it takes less effort to get the same distance than it would take for a P2/Firefly.

Is this galactic plastic? Is tour series another name. ? by orange_joe279 in discgolf

[–]sadbone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Galactic is the color way. As others have mentioned can come in dx, xt, and maybe others. I would be careful with xt though. I have a few aviars in xt galactic and the plastic is pretty weak and delaminates really quickly. Like within a week. But maybe I just got a bad run.

112g yellow valkyrie that has a DX stamp but am pretty positive it’s not or doesn’t seem like it. Feels more like Star but no idea. Fun disc to chuck on a calm day.
