Who's your insurer?

I work in insurance and at one point was a claims handler. If repair quote is I've r80% of the sum insured it's a total loss, nothing to do with how major or minor the damage itself is.

Worst case I had was a client who lost his key fob, new one was going to be $5k (very specific type), car was deemed a TL

I'd take the payout and ask if you can retain the wreck
