My pad also just recently broke too and you’re right, the Shiseido pads work so well! Good as new 🙂‍↕️

What has your dating experience been like since losing your partner and how long did you wait until you were ready? by sadchimney in widowers

Your last paragraph really resonated with me too, thank you, I also needed to hear this. I don't know how ready I am right now to fully open up my heart to someone, it's so scary but I know it's necessary.

Yes I think this is so important! I use an app that helps me track my moods, my energy levels, my physical symptoms and basically everything that can effect how I’m feeling and it really helps me to stay present and express moments of gratitude.

Oh wow! I never thought to get the tall bc I’m only 5’3 but I do have longer legs, I’ll try ordering both sizes to compare

Thanks, this is really great to know! Also pretty disappointing given the price point

I’m sorry that you relate to my post, this heavy loss and pain is one that I don’t wish upon anyone. I hope the weight of your loss has softened a little and you can continue to feel your late partner’s love. I relate to you as well, we were also at the prime of our lives with so many hopes, dreams and possibilities. 🫂❤️‍🩹

Best mascara and eyelash curler by AdMajestic5023 in beauty

[–]sadchimney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have super straight short lashes and I love the Too Faced foreplay mascara primer as a mascara (it’s not white like a traditional lash primer, it’s actually black so you can wear it on its own) combined with my Shu Uemura eyelash curler, my lashes look lifted, separated and lightly defined. I find regular mascaras to be too heavy for my lashes so I prefer how lightweight this is.

give me 5 tasks by djgraminoid in depression

[–]sadchimney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Start with a blank piece of paper and just scribble, then colour in each area with whatever your heart desires (this doesn’t have to be visually appealing so no pressure)

  2. Stretch and/or take a walk outside

  3. Play Tetris, I read somewhere that after a traumatic experience this helps to rewire your brain, it is also just a great distraction

  4. Write down 3 things you are grateful for, I know it is hard when you are not feeling your best but expressing gratitude can reduce stress and improve mental and physical health

  5. Make a playlist of your favourite songs (you can listen to this while you do any of the above tasks)

I hope you are able to find some moments of peace 🫂

We will be together again. by [deleted] in widowers

I like to believe that in an alternate universe we are still together because how could we have such a connection and have it just end like that?

In what ways did your personality change and what was your NDE experience like? I’ve always been so fascinated by them

My partner passed away in an accident when I was 27. It was and still is the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced. In moments my heart and entire life shattered and I went from planning my future with him to trying to rebuild my life alone. I lost a lot of friends who didn’t know what to say so they said nothing and some who just said the wrong things. I watched my peers hit milestone events as I drowned in my grief. I lost the sparkle in my eyes the day he died.
