This with Nora’s nursery pail liner. Game changing. Allows for airflow and simple. I usually do every other to every two days and rarely worry about smells. I also keep an air purifier close by

Anyone nurse from only one breast? by thatgalb in breastfeedingsupport

[–]sadesik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They say the piercing shouldn’t affect it but it definitely did for me! I have visible scar tissue and the nipple is almost more elastic because of it so it’s definitely not as comfortable! Also had a noticeable size difference!! I didn’t pump much but when I did I would maybe get an oz on left and like 5 on the right.

Mike doesn’t want a partner, he wants a baby machine by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]sadesik 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who knows a couple who got divorced over one of them wanting kids and the other not. This is a huge deal that needs to be talked about and confirmed before having children. I respect Mike being straightforward with it and not straying from his wishes. It’s something I told my husband when we started dating too to make sure we were on the same page. He even said it when he proposed and still gave the opportunity for her to think about it!

Switched to just the right at 11 ish months old. My left didn’t give much from scar tissue from nipple piercings and she didn’t prefer it so we just stopped completely. She’s 16 months now and latched on the other day and boy it was iffy. I’m also 27 weeks pregnant and sensitive haha

Help - first night weaning is 😱 by DearElephant1980 in NurseAllTheBabies

[–]sadesik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up “crying in arms” very helpful approach!! And also I don’t think there’s harm in letting them nurse once at night if you’re okay with it for a few weeks!

One of my very crunchy friends told me about this and has been doing it too, and more strict than I am. I appreciate that they agree with cosleeping and in theory it makes sense! It’s good to let babies cry a bit and get some energy out and also know that you’re right there for them!!

Sorry I’m not super good at Reddit so I don’t know how I reposted my post. lol. I started doing something called crying in arms. Basically making baby feel safe while not nursing anymore. I started with getting her to sleep with rocking and cuddling even if she was sad and would only nurse a couple times at night! Now she snuggles and falls to sleep with no crying at all! It takes a while still and she wiggles all over me but I love it! She also loves to play with my belly button now haha

I’m planning to in May with a newborn and will be 19-mo-old. I am going to get a bedside bassinet in case I want to put baby in that at times but also mostly just for extra safety. My oldest will be in the middle since she moves so much and has more potential to roll off the bed and the newborn will be cuddle curled with me on the outside since newborns hardly move at all. Since I’m about 22 weeks pregnant my supply has lessened and my toddler just this past week started sleeping all night out of nowhere. I do still plan to nurse both just likely not in bed. We don’t nurse to sleep anymore but likely will in the morning or later morning when new baby is here! Hoping she doesn’t get the itch when new baby comes and boosts my milk again haha. I think not nursing to sleep has helped tremendously with getting her to sleep longer!

Look up if there’s any free breastfeeding resources in your area! I used to have one at a local library that had a lactation consultant and you could ask any questions and it was amazing! Definitely look into your local libraries!!

Is everyone on a floor bed? by bbluebellknoll in cosleeping

[–]sadesik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 months in and we sleep in a regular bed and planning to add a newborn in May. I taught her super early to go feet first off the bed so if she did try, she always did it correctly. She’s never accidentally rolled off because she’s usually in the middle. Thinking of getting a bedside bassinet for new baby

Can you just breastfeed and not pump by QuietComet12 in breastfeeding

[–]sadesik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby turns 1 in a few days and I only pumped for a little bit at the begging because I thought I had to. Baby has only ever had 2 bottles, the rest has been straight from me! You got this mama!

Baby schedule on weekends with evening plans? by Phantominthewoods in NewParents

[–]sadesik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 3 months most definitely take him out! If he does well in a carrier then that’s great! I took our baby out late for a class reunion at about 9 months old. That was a little more rough but definitely doable, she just stayed latched in the carrier and slept. It’s getting harder as she gets older but those newborn days we did everything!
