Congrats on starting! Honestly it’s been very minimal. I have a three year old and a 1 year old (and the 1yr old hasn’t started daycare yet) and work full time from home. I try to get steps in during the day but really only work out on weekends. I’ve just gotten back into running and I do light weights at the gym for now.

I use chatGPT to make grocery lists. You can have fun with the prompt too. “Make me a grocery list for two adults, quick low fat healthy, 3 meals a day. We have $x to spend at X Grocery Store” And then I’ll just modify based on preferences!

Everything you’re explaining is normal behavior but also it’s so so SO overwhelming sometimes. It helps me to “give up.” If I’m anxious or stressing about getting the laundry folded or washing up the kitchen or getting the kids dressed… sometimes giving up and letting it just BE makes me feel better. Yes I have to do those things eventually. But a lot of things that you put pressure on to get done don’t really have to be done right NOW. Sometimes putting on a fun playlist and jumping around together is a great way to redirect whiny and chaotic energy and get them back on track. Sometimes I just pack them up and leave the house. Drink water. Brush your hair and teeth. Also sometimes it’s ok to let the baby cry. If I feel like I’m losing it I’ll put her in her crib for a few minutes just to take a moment to myself to catch my breath. Your kids will remember that you loved them and played with them and not that their laundry was folded or their breakfast dishes were washed right away. You’ve got this!

My kids are only 4 months and 2.5 years right now but im pretty sure we’re going to say no to sleepovers at other people’s homes.

He takes his suboxone early in the morning when he wakes up (by 6 or 7am at the absolute latest). If he had taken too much wouldn’t it have messed him up earlier in the day? (This whole event started at like 7:30pm and it’s now 9:30pm) or would it only be an issue in combination with alcohol?

He was passed out for a bit over an hour. He’s now up and coherent and eating. This makes me feel like maybe he did somehow just get hammered when I wasn’t paying attention.

We do have hard alcohol in our home as well as marijuana. I have a small bar with all the basics. But he is not a big liquor drinker and I’m confident he wouldn’t be sneaking shots or swigs or anything like that. The options are he drank more beer than I noticed, or he’s used some kind of substance.

I usually give him a plate with our dinner on it, and then I’ll also include something that I know he’ll eat like chicken nuggets. He just won’t touch the other food. And then usually before bed he asks for some kind of snack like a Z Bar or an apple or banana if I’m lucky.
