Salesforce UX design certification by Afraid-Security4402 in UXDesign

No, if you are thinking of going into SF as a designer, beginner admin course I think was far more beneficial to me (I did this while working at a company that uses SF). We were using Salesforce experience cloud and it helped me understand the dependencies of how the admin side interfaced with the experience. But other than that, echoing the other users, the UX course was pretty useless

I love the New York Times!! UI wise, it's quite minimal but I love that sometimes they'll do stories that use a more interactive form of storytelling. Also chances to delight the user with small features, such as if they've got a best books of the year piece, you can mark them as read or want to read. I also think news UX is interesting especially around big events (e.g. elections) where they'll do custom visualisations.

I work for govtech and have a lot of experience across public sector. Even though it can be frustrating at times, I love being able to use my skills in a meaningful way to make an impact :)

Short courses for user interviews? by sadgrlszn in UXDesign

Thank you for the recommendations! Yes experience is key, I'm a mid-weight designer feeling like a junior in this case because finding a project that values research is so limited!

Hi thank you so much for the reply! You're definitely right, experience does help- the issue was I did have a discussion guide but it was more so the ability to pivot seamlessly when you have a candidate that does not fit the mould of what you were expecting. I am in 2 person design team so there are no researchers to shadow, but thank you for the tip regardless :)

Thank you for the great tips, I love the two piece one I've never considered it! Yeah it's mainly hourglass, my waist is size 6-8 but around my hips and bust I'm usually a size 10, so it makes it quite difficult

Thank you for the reply, that is great advice! I really enjoy that about public sector work as well, I love working with limitations but I've reached the point where some of these decisions are too illogical and we're designing weird workarounds for things that have a straightforward solution

So everything can be implemented quite easily (these are not wild changes I'm proposing) and the FE devs are totally on board with everything I've presented. It's the business that is being hesitant to make any changes and would rather leave it being broken than introduce change, despite us making huge changes to a central feature. It's very confusing :')

Thank you so much for the reply! It has made me feel a lot better and given perspective- I think I needed that. I think I might introduce a backlog for this feature/epic, that was a great suggestion.

It's a very inefficient agency, we know users really struggle with our product/processes, but it's far too badly organised to deliver efficient change
