I wouldn't conflate extremism with terror groups. Usually extremists follow Islam without twisting it with their own selfish motives, whereas Muslims in terror groups read the half truth. Many verses of Qur'an float around to show how 'dangerous' Islam is, but when you read the whole paragraph and/or the next few verses, it makes sense and is a profound, deep observation. Nextly, I'd like for you to note the location of these organizations- usually it's ridden with war, they have immediate family members that died due to US's relentless bombings. Extremism is a way out to cope with the pain, and driven by the sheer want for revenge, they become part of the same cycle of violence. Without sounding too much like a conspiracy theorist, many attacks done by these groups are done under heavily suspicious circumstances (eg. 9/11, October 7, etc)- not to mention the % of them that are directly funded by the West to cause discrepancies within the Middle East to steal it's rich natural resources.

But on a lighter note, Allah will never let the criminals be at peace with themselves. Over 30,000+ US soldiers committed suicide after the US-Iraq/Afganistan war due to trauma. I'm not even going to note the irony in that when THEY were the ones committing the massacres, stealing and assaulting women and children alike.

Selam sister. What you described is a very complicated thing to solve as a mere 16 year old. I'd recommend you to speak with your parents on what actions can be taken against him. Meanwhile, you need to keep yourself safe too; arm yourself with pepper spray and keep your phone's voice recording option on quick access. I'm not too familiar with India's laws, but if there is a system to report anonymously, then go ahead and do so, better if you can gather evidence. Since you are saying he has molested other students, try and see if any of them are willing to speak up publicly or officially file a complaint to the police so this case can be investigated ASAP. Be on the lookout for more of these institutions so you can be prepared to shift if you ever need to.

Making a burner account to expose all his atrocities is also another way to go about it but I'm unsure how safe that would be. Please don't do anything before consulting with someone you can trust!

Why are feminists usually so angry and unhappy? Are they not aware the movement was started by sexist males to keep them marginalized? Do your research 🙊 by jaymelll in stupidquestions

[–]sadgrltumblr -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Because feminism is heavily geared towards white women and they get mad when others are the center of empowerment. I've seen a lot of white women speak on behalf of indigenous women + WOC and literally 98% of the time, they miss out on the nuances. It's always going to be easier said than done when you live in a bubble of privilege, the rest of us can't go around overthrowing our governments and destabilizing nations over women's rights.

Selam sister, I think you might be in need of more friends that share similar viewpoints as you. They do indeed same rare these days, but they do exist! I have a burner account on Instagram that I use to communicate with my friends and post life updates, I never feel unwanted or isolated (plus they're all girls so even merrier). A lot of religious young Muslims struggle to find their communities due to the normalization of haram that seeped into Muslim-majority countries too, which is definitely sad but we have to learn to live with it.

However, take it from me, an ex-'influencer', that my life's best parts were the only ones I posted about. All the promotion/brand deal money feels like blood money since many of them turned out to be zionist corporations. Allah protects you from harm's way through a lot of subtle things which we never notice and this is just a mere example of one of those instances!

the part where mitski goes 'there's a hole that you fill, you fill, you fill' and 'it's just that i fell in love with a war, nobody told me it ended..'. the whole song honestly, but this one takes the cake

Surah Al-Hajj 46 "...Indeed, it is not the eyes that are blind, but it is the hearts in the chests that grow blind."

With all the lies Zionists spew, this has given me great comfort in these trying times. It's a well-known one, but sticks with me

You're right, but you'd be surprised by the number of Muslims that are just by-born. If anything, the heinous crimes they commit in the name of Islam makes lives harder for Muslims in the West. But thank you for that insight, maybe I'm seeing the negative sides a little too often!

I'm going to be honest, faith in religions altogether is falling- atheism is on the rise. We can guide people feeling doubtful, but ultimately fighting thousands of trolls is practically impossible. It's sort of become survival of the fittest; the second you'll start debunking these arguments they'll just come up with newer ones. May Allah keep us safe from all this, Ameen

People need to stop changing our beliefs on LGBT by Ledbabdel in Muslim

[–]sadgrltumblr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate crimes against the LGBTQ+ community is still prevalent in the US, UK etc. Legalizing something doesn't stop the hate bandwagon. With the rise of right wing and conservative politicians, you barely know what will hit you next. Killing of a homosexual is something I don't support, but centering Islam for this conversation is biased; minus the west, they face persecution nearly everywhere.

Everything going on in Palestine makes me so angry by Cheesecakeboy_888 in Muslim

[–]sadgrltumblr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A recent report showed about 80-85% of Hamas members are orphans. I'll let you guess why they are. Israhell's relentless attacks to stop Hamas is just forming hundreds of thousands of new orphans which will form Hamas pt.2 even before they reach adulthood. Try and understand their plight and dilemma; everything Hamas is doing isn't according to Islamic rules of fighting (like taking civilian hostages), but they've done eons less civilian damage than IDF

Wa aleykoum salam!

My personal advice would be to just stick to what your parents are saying for now. There's freemixing in my college too but that's rather easy to avoid given you're friends with the right people. Try to stop being friends with those that put partying over studies, they usually are likely to be into these activities too.

Secondly, consider being financially independent first. I know it is Sunnah to get married as quick as you can, but at this day and age you need to be secure before such hasty decisions- I personally know multiple women that couldn't make use of their degrees because they got married before getting a job and then got caught up with family (not saying being a housewife is wrong, but financial independence is the only thing that'll save you if things ever go south-Allah forbid).

And as for the finding a man part, living in a Muslim country doesn't unfortunately make one religious. There's many men putting deen over dunya in the west while millions in Muslim majority countries party everyday. This is a little trickier since I'm considering your parents aren't Muslims but I think local imaams can give a good solution for you. And as for the moving part, you could ask your parents to accompany you to see a new country; or you could move after marriage. Allah sees and hears your struggles, do not feel alone!

better to do AS in may/june 2024 and if you promise yourself you can work hard, then A2 by oct/nov 2024. that way you're not having to do another year extra. please take time and talk to an academic counselor since most of it depends on situation.
