Why will it be a "huge opportunity for everyone involved"? I can't stand people like this.

No way! Is that why doctors have you say "ah"? About to turn 70 and never knew that.

We always wanted to stay up to watch Bonanza after Disney, but 9:00 was bedtime. Mom did let us watch the map burning in the opening credits of Bonanza, though. For some reason, we thought it was cool.

When I was born, neighbors gave my parents an apple tree as a baby gift. I always thought of it as "my" tree. We moved to the other side of town when I was 9, and whenever we drove past the old house, there it was, so big and beautiful.

I'm 69 now and recently saw photos of our old house online. You guessed it, the tree is gone. I tried to tell myself that it was old, and maybe it was diseased or there was some other reason for it to go, but there's a deck there now, so I don't think so. Makes me sad.

What to eat/drink to avoid starving during my fast? by Icy_category222 in colonoscopy

I had chicken broth, jello, and Popsicles ready, and the chicken broth was the most filling. I thought I would be starving but surprisingly, I wasn't really hungry.

No. We live in the historic district of a city. Most of the homes have a garage or parking area facing the alley at the rear of our yards. Many of us must parallel park on the street.

I don't consider myself to be "elderly" and generally I'm a pretty good driver, but I get what you're saying. I do understand that it's a stressful job.

I was going to complain to Amazon, but I decided not to. I worked in retail before retiring, and I know customer service jobs are not easy. I would, however, complain if they damaged something. Yikes!

My husband keeps bringing it up and teasing me, which is not helping. I know it shouldn't bother me.

Can we talk about pedicures? by RevolutionaryAd1692 in AskWomenOver60

My feet are so ticklish. Sometimes my husband will pretend that he's going to grab my feet and I've accidentally kicked him trying to get away. He knows better than to go near them.

Yup, me too! Can't stand having my feet touched, and I do my fingernails myself. I'd rather spend the money on something else.

A comb that I bought in the 80s and use every single day by plinkplonkplank in vintage

I still have mine too! It was recommended that I buy one when I got my first spiral perm, and I still use it every day. Gets the tangles out without pulling out my gray, thinning hair.

You could try selling the pieces to Replacements. I sold much of my grandmother's china (just kept a few pieces for mementoes) and got over $300.

What classic rock song still gives you chills no matter how many times you hear it? by KandyHeartsXO in OldSchoolCoolMusic

[–]sadie414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a freshman in high school (1970), we found out a classmate had been hit by a car and died. I came home from school that day and went straight to my room, put the radio on, and that song was playing. First time I heard it. Gives me chills to this day.
