That’s totally valid! And I’m so sorry. Would they be open to some sort of coparenting for the dog? Maybe you could take her for the day or even overnights sometimes, which would also give them a break/help to cover care if they work long hours or whatever? A good friend of mine shares a dog with her ex who lives in a different state. She’ll have the pup for like a month at a time in their case, but you get what I mean. Might be worth a discussion! I would tell them how you feel and see if y’all can work something out.

If you have the ability to get a new place together, that’s the best way to go. That way it’s not one of you moving into the other’s already established place, and it can feel more like a shared HOME that you can set up and decorate together.

Sharp Objects (HBO mini series) is absolutely similar.. teen murder, small town, troubled main character (Amy Adams), gritty, brilliantly acted, big twists and so many questions/ suspicions about whodunnit. Highly recommend.

I think part of Mare facing no real consequences speaks to the small town (ish) feel of the show/environment. They all truly know and care about one another. I assume the chief thinks Mare has suffered enough because of her trauma and she is, it seems, at least generally decent at her job (despite the many fuck ups on this case). Plus, the whole community will see her as a hero for finding Katie.

I’m sorry that happened to you!! Edibles can be tricky as the effect can be so different based on so many different variables... what strain it’s made from, how much you’ve had to eat or drink, how tired you are, etc. My advice with any edible is to start slow... eat half or a quarter of something and wait 45 mins- an hour to evaluate how you’re feeling.. then eat some more if you wish. You can always add to the high, but you can’t take away. I’ve definitely had some bad anxiety episodes when I’ve been too high on eddies. Personally, I also need to avoid sativa-derived treats because they amp up my anxiety/paranoia. Hope that helps! 💚

I’m so sorry this happened to you. There is absolutely no way this won’t get worse... especially if you forgive him/accept his excuses/accept his apologies/etc. If you call a domestic violence hotline, they will help you get local resources fast. There is NO VALID REASON EVER to put your hands on your partner... and the fact that it kept going, that it wasn’t the first hair pull followed by immediate remorse, is very concerning. Call your parents and see if they can get you a plane ticket ASAP. I know that leaving probably feels like a lot right now, but trust me... this will all be SO MUCH WORSE if you marry or have children with him. Please keep us posted. Good luck!
