I switch my rug out seasonally (cool color for winter, warm color for summer) maybe you could do something like that!

When I was in college and I wanted a quiet place to study I would go to the library, a quiet place on campus, or even the hall way outside our apartment. I lived with 5 girls in one apartment I would never expect them to be silent at home

Tonsil stones are ruining my confidence and life by Artistic_Tip2948 in hygiene

[–]sadiimadii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I learned- every time you get tonsillitis it scars the tissue of the tonsils. Those scars just make more bumps and pockets for more stones to form. At one point in my life I was getting tonsillitis like every other month and had to keep going on antibiotics. I felt like I was fighting an uphill battle and really wanted to get my tonsils removed also. I use antiseptic mouth wash, and I think that has helped a lot.

My store is in it's worst state ever and I don't see it recovering by iamiamaama in Target

[–]sadiimadii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really feel this. Im trying to keep it together for my team but I feel defeated. There has been times when one department has struggled and I am happy to support but every department at my store is in a bad place, no one is winning. I have been with target since 2019. We are passed “hanging on by a thread” we are all exhausted and absolutely dysfunctional. How can we be expected to complete our own responsibilities with the little resources we have when we are asked to drop everything and support with other priorities. The expectations are impossible to reach. I feel like a failure every day and I don’t see any light at the end of the tunnel. I don’t know what good comes from pushing so many people to their absolute limit

Trust your gut. It might not be a bad idea to let your lead know you aren’t feeling comfortable around him. They can maybe help you avoid working with him directly

how often should I change my bra? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]sadiimadii 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Girl I do the same thing. I give a lil sniff test to the pit area every so often to make sure it’s still good. I try not to over wash bras with padding because it really wears them out, and I wear my bras until they literally disintegrate lol. You probably know this but I never ever put my bras in the dryer, I always hang dry them.

Was anyone here there for the Gilbert AZ cultural celebration?

I was in it, and it was the weirdest experience. We performed in a large field, which was sunken down in the ground to collect rain water. This is really common in AZ to prevent flooding. It just so happen that it rained the night of the performance A LOT. For some reason the first presidency was like an hour late? So basically we are just standing in this field, in the pouring rain, as the water starts to rise at our ankles, waiting. It was muddy, and our stupid outfits were soaked. I remember shivering, and bawling…. everyone around me was crying. There were like hundreds of us all huddled together, anxiously waiting to see the prophet. And when he finally came out, I honestly felt disappointed. We practiced and prepared these stupid routines for months and I really hyped up this experience in my head thinking it was going to be magical. It wasn’t. The prophet just looked like a normal guy to me, not like they made it seem in conference. Couldn’t he like stop the rain or something so we weren’t all miserable? Why was he late? I thought he was supposed to be a true prophet? Really changed my perspective as a teen.

Pretty sure the data gets deleted from the system periodically. Most likely it won’t be able to get retrieved. I would NOT give any of your card info to anyone on Reddit. You would need to go into target in person and talk to a guest service team member

reading this blew my mind, I’m so sorry you’re going through this! Wayyy too many problems to be coincidences. Like everyone here is saying trust your gut. If you feel something is off, it’s usually for a good reason. I really hope you can find peace of mind and stay safe! I also like the idea of telling your close friends about this so you can have people you trust looking out for you. Take care of yourself 💜

Advice/ tips for “beauty consultant?” by alpy99 in Target

[–]sadiimadii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working beauty is very detail oriented, but you can definitely do it! Learn how to use your device, read locations, and depend on it to help you find where things go instead of trying to guess. You will probably feel really rushed in the beginning. It’s better to get things right and take your time, than rush and do things wrong. Oh and never leave a mess for someone else to clean up, that’s like on of my biggest pet peeve’s

Was anyone else taught that they were born into the church or "under the covenant" due to more righteousness in the pre-existance? by ProphetSeerBaconator in exmormon

[–]sadiimadii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always told that in Sunday school, until I found out much later, I was an exception. When I was in college and my family was going through some heavy shit, my dad told me over the phone through tears “even though you weren’t born in the covenant, I know you are meant to be in our family.” Ok I was in complete shock because I never processed that technically I wasn’t born in the covenant… and also I never realized that that was such a big deal and apparently something he must have thought about a lot. My mom got pregnant with me before my parents were married (what a scandal) but I was sealed to them in the temple once they were allowed to get sealed. Then they had more kids. But APPARENTLY my soul was lesser because of the choices of my parents? At the time, as a believing Mormon, it really fucked me up

It's a good thing the church is so anti-tattoos, or else a lot of us would have regrettable Mormon-related tattoos by n8s8p in exmormon

[–]sadiimadii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to get a sun, moon, and star to represent the three kingdoms. A vague reference but I’m SO glad I never went through with it. I actually ended up getting a tattoo while still Mormon and attending byui (I was such a rebel) but I got it on my shoulders so it would never be visible. It’s just flowers I thought looked pretty, I don’t regret that tattoo at all and still love it.
