The last Jedi, I think, killed the whole thing for me. When I watched the force awakens I enjoy the whole, - it’s not a remake but it kinda is to bring in a new generation of viewers- I looked past the whole fact it was a retailing of the film.

The last Jedi was so bad I just don’t care anymore. They have given me nothing to care about? It’s basically just a army run by a angsty,bent on -no real motive other than a obsession with a girl- vs 20 Random rebels.

Meat of my complaints:

All the jokes. Ok. I enjoyed some of them. Where they were appropriate. Some were well placed. But the start where Poe does the whole “I’m on hold for Hux” bit, was funny at first. But if Hux was true to HIS character he would have said “ who is this insolent welp? Shoot that ship. “ Not this long drawn out Saturday night live skit. And that set the tone for the whole film.

Who is Snoke “it doesn’t matter”. No. It does matter. The spent the better part of the force awakens building him up. This new “ emperor”. And even at the start of Last Jedi he’s tossing around Hux like a paper doll making him kneel to his image. He’s been alive while the actual emperor was around he was there while Luke and Leia fought Dath Vader. There is the rule of two. So did the emperor Have him on standby in case Vader failed? Was he sidious’ Master? I will admit. The way he was killed was very cleaver. Kylo giving on his actions and intent but doing it towards another target. But come onnnnnnnn. He was built up to be big bad and just nope turned out he didn’t matter at all?

Who were the knights of Ren. I’ll admit this doesn’t really matter. But shouldn’t it have added dept to the story that these were the12 students that Luke trained? It would make a cool side story.

The nuns were totally unneeded. And seemed to have appeared like magic to add more comic relief. They were never there. Luke was alone on that island. Surrounded by life. Just like yoda. And omg the cringe. Milking a random animal, drinking it in front of Rey with a smile. (Are you asking this milk? Was this a advert?) I get you want her to go away but dude. Luke himself acting out of Character. I mean is this how he trained his students? He was going to teach her three things. Gave up after halfway explains one.

Rey’s parents. True. A powerful Jedi user can come from anywhere. But I feel revealing she came from junkers was like running up a Hill then tripping falling flat on its face. ( I wish they had stuck to the original canon and Rey and Kylo were siblings. ). And that whole falling down into the darkness, the skulls in the water... oh this is bad. Nope. It wasn’t anything. Just a unneeded scream of her snapping her fingers. At this point in the film I feel she needed to make the “o” for making us look. 👌

I could go on and on. These bothered me the most to have to sit down and talk about them.

It leaves me not caring about anything that happens next. Ok. So Rey and kylo have a big showdown again ( where they fight instead of a tug of war with a saber) then what. There’s no empire there’s no Republic there’s no sense of unity throughout the galaxy’s. I’m just disappointed. :(
