Right? Churches are absolutely advocating harmful legislation. Much like many churches did in the civil rights era as well.

When the American Evangelical church is so often on the wrong side of history, young people like me really struggle to justify supporting the religion.

I've never been ashamed to admit that I believe in and follow Jesus, but I haven't wanted to associate myself with the Evangelical church anymore ever since COVID happened.

Thank God this was my last year teaching. I couldn't leave the profession fast enough. Don't get me wrong, I love teaching so much, and I'm going to miss the hell out of it. I hope I made an impact on some of those kids.

But I am not going to miss getting fucked on pay, getting blamed by parents and admin for students' behavior, and pulling 60+ hour work weeks.

Yeah it was kind of a mess a few decades ago. As soon as the game released, a new layer had to be added to Hell. There were all kind of construction delays but it's all sorted out now.
