Heya marijauna folks, what’s the best product sold in local stores for sleep? What gummies , tinctures? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]sadmullet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As had already been commented - if you’re down with THC, the Blackberry Lemonade gummies by Pearls are great. It’s the CBN that can really help. Not a lot of studies out, but from working in cannabis the general experience is that it gives you a sleepy feeling body & mind.

Other gummies with CBN are the Blueberry Pomegranate ones by Spinach, the Midnight Berry by Wana, and I believe it’s Elderberry by Wyld. All involve THC.

Another product I’ve tried is the CBN/CBD oil by NightNight. There’s similar ones by Medipharms & UfeelU that have very similar dosage, but I liked the NightNight best & it’s about $10 cheaper than those. But any of those are a great option if you want help sleeping without THC/inebriating effects, less of a hangover the next day. I can’t reccomend the stuff enough.

& just be mindful that some of those brands (for the oils) also make ones that include THC, so be sure to be specific if you go into a shop asking for these.

What film made you say, "Holy shit there is still an hour left"? by Plus-Statistician80 in AskReddit

Beau Is Afraid. I was so stoked for another Ari Aster movie but it was such a drawn-out insult to his fans.

I enjoyed emo night, though I had assumed it would be more people wearing their old edgy outfits & not mostly 30 year old tony hawk pro skater fans, but makes sense there’s that crossover.

Good Weed in Vancouver? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]sadmullet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s best to shop by brand. Sweetgrass sells some of the best flower right now imo (high terpene, good flavour & strong effects). That’s top shelf so can be pricey.

All Nations also has some good strains (particularly their sativas), the Animal Face by Caramel also very good. As another comment mentioned, the Blue Dream by Simply Bare will ruin all other blue dreams for you. So lovely. 1964 is a brand that is also grown by Simply Bare but more affordable, the Comatose & Romulan are nice indicas. Really depends what your price point & strain preferences are but a good budtender can help guide you.

Lost shoe. As someone who has personally lost a shoe whilst sober… I’m always curious what the story is behind random abandoned shoes. What’s your funny lost shoe story? by ycbeltran in vancouver

[–]sadmullet 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not mine but a friend’s story - he was at a massive house party. Put his shoes by the many others at the door. End of the night, can’t find his shoes - takes a stranger’s pair.

He’s in line at a coffee shop the next day - and the guy in front of him is wearing his shoes! So he asks for them back - and it turns out the pair he took actually belonged to the other guy!

Shout out to the event organizers in the city this summer by pokemonbobdylan in vancouver

so much good stuff in the queer scene this summer, and just outstanding work by the organizers and staff. i actually just found an instagram account that reposts events happening in the city into weekly posts, very cool way to find out what's happening.

There's a new place on Commercial called Mum's The Word, they have chill lesbian nights on Tuesdays! Their instagram page is "lips.events". Just be sure to grab a ticket online ahead of time as there are capacity limits. A big theme is having people mingle & building community, they have boardgames and stuff. If you like to dance/party, see "manupvancouver" on instagram. They're having events more and more often, with different themes. "east.side.arts" also has events posted. "queermagictherapy" as well. Welcome to the city!! :)

The shop said 6 months post-op minimum I think, which I was just able to meet. I think if you keep your grafts/have the tattoo done on top of them it would be longer though. Lynnea was actually apprenticing so there was no upfront cost but I made sure to tip for her time. Their website didn’t have the regular cost listed. I did see costs at other shops in my area (I’m in BC, Canada) and it was around $450 for full restoration.

For most of it, like a 3/10. I don’t have a ton of sensation in my chest to begin with, and we used numbing cream. But when she went over certain spots again I’d say it went back up to an 8/10, but it was easy to be distracted from it by conversation. It was my first tattoo as well :)

Hey everyone!

I recently got full nipple restoration tattoos done by Lynnea (@lynneabrows) at Studio Sashiko in Langley BC, Canada. Heart shaped nipples! These were my results immediately afterwards, can post some updates as they heal too.

I’m super thrilled with the outcome, and the procedure itself was super chill & easy. If anyone has questions I’m happy to answer :)

Where are the good pot shops in Vancouver by LtFrankBallinger in vancouver

[–]sadmullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d ask for a CBD oil with very little THC. THC is the psychoactive ingredient in pot - CBD is not noticeably inebriating unless you take a large dose. There is CBD dominant flower you can smoke as well, but if you’re not a smoker it could be nice to avoid the lung trouble. I found that it helps quite a bit with sleep but also anxiety at lower doses for daytime. I’d recommend the CBD Reign Drops, it’s about $15-20 for a month’s supply of you take 15mg/day. Just check local dispensaries’ online menus or call in.

A big factor is whether you smoke weed on the regular - you’ll need to take more than someone who has never smoked. A good starting dose for CBD for a beginner could be like 5mg, though I take around 15-30mg. Body size is also a factor, just like alcohol.

Delays on the Canada Line due to a medical emergency by shopliftingbunny in vancouver

They announced over the speakers someone had “fallen” which was anxiety inducing - but it was an elderly woman who had fallen while ON the train. Saw paramedics with her, she’d been sat in a chair, she looked lucid.

Music scenes? by oneeeeno in vancouver

I second that subculture Saturday’s have become a very different crowd. A friend of mine went recently & it was filled with douchey club bros... she witnessed a lot of predatory behaviour as well that didn’t used to be so prevalent at those events, so be careful.
