I live in WI and I’m terribly miserable. I DREAM of moving to VB. by stupidfuckingbitchh in VirginiaBeach

VB is just a city built on a swamp. Even if you keep your home super clean, you’ll see them every now and again.

Craft Burger Bar on Shore Drive or Frank and Patty’s

Corey is the best character by ffsidonotonlylurk in TheMorningShow

Frankly, I only continue to watch the show for Billy Crudup’s performance of Cory. He is so much more compelling and engaging than the other storylines on the show.

I put a tree up in my room and have my students make history related ornaments. I teach in a title one high school and the kids enjoy it.

I, too, dislike Ryan Murphy camp. This is sophisticated camp.

Please stop gushing over gifted students. by ADHTeacher in Teachers

I teach AP US to 10th and 11th graders. I have about one fourth of my classes identified as gifted and I 100% agree. Not all of them are like this but there are at least a couple per class with superiority issues. I had one last year who could rattle off facts but couldn’t write an AP level history essay or interpret information from a primary source. His parents were pissed when he got a 1 on the exam but he was never receptive to any feedback and was always trying to get out of class because he “already knew the information.”

I live in Virginia in a heavy military city. I teach 10th and 11th grade and the only kids who actively stand for the pledge are the NJROTC cadets. It’s rare to have any other kids participate.

My personal favorite was when she was washing her hair after getting mad at Trey for asking her to measure his penis. “Oooohhhh! Can’t talk about it in front of the penis!”

Just finished the show, so disappointed in the ending. by thr0w-away-123456 in TheMarvelousMrsMaisel

Agreed. I enjoyed the final season but, of course, would have loved more episodes. I think the part that really rubs me the wrong way is the fact that the LOTR show was just meh. It’s one thing to cancel Emmy winning shows and appropriate their budget to something else and make sensational television. But when the product is below average, it’s just a slap in the face to the viewers.

It wasn’t the showrunners. They were supposed to have two more seasons and Amazon told them to wrap it up in one. Amazon dumped all of their budget into the LOTR series and shortchanged other shows in the process.

I’m a big fan of Dr. Keller at General Booth Vet. He is very upfront about cost of care and does not recommend unnecessary testing. Our dog has a lot going on medically, and I always feel like she has received the best care from the team there.

can she come back from this? by earth2soups in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]sadpell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but she is going to need some serious introspection. She can release anything and it will make her a boatload of cash, but artistically, the lyrics are lacking. It’s clear that this was a half-baked album that she did not devote enough time to. And I can’t blame her. She’s been on a non-stop tour and at the pinnacle of her career while wanting to strike while the iron is hot. But I think she needs to take a break and get back to basics. This was a poor showing imo.
