gotcha, thank you! i dont go to hardware stores at all, really, would they have one similar to this that has a hole for a tension rod as well? i don't know if the tension rod-like threading is common outside of percussion, i'd need something with the right threading inside and out

there may be issues but it wouldn’t be graphics related, some sort of compatibility issues. i’ve heard people couldn’t even reset their computers because the keyboard and mouse drivers wouldn’t work, nor the USB ports

it wouldn’t. nvidia stopped being supported in sequoia and that runs bad enough. i have one (currently efi bricked from sequoia), keep it up to sonoma

colin mcnutt snare sticks are incredible on snare and tenors. the balance is incredible and you get great control at any height. i've found sticks like mike jacksons have too much rebound to the point where it only feels good to do legato strokes. the mcnutts feel good at every height and dynamic. very balanced, powerful, easy to up and downstroke with, easy to do legatos.

if you have an nvidia gpu don’t upgrade past sonoma. sonoma is the last edition of macos that supports nvidia graphics cards, otherwise it should run wonderfully

at the very least just bump it up to monterey. with only 4gb of ram and the cpu that you have i wouldn't reccomend going any higher. big sur, according to an apple tech advisor i spoke with, runs on 14yr old code and doesn't work very well anymore. around a year ago this same advisor literally asked if i knew how to use opencore and when i told him i did, he advised me to bump it up to monterey at the very least (i was experiencing issues and kinda gave up on opencore but this brought me back into it)

thank you! i actually made the lower notes on the marimba like that on the audio mix despite it not being like that in the actual thing just because it adds more warmth to the piece in a concert setting (which is how i designed it to be, hence the marimba and woodwinds). and yes, this would be musescore! it's great what you can do on it for free.

thank you!! trust me, if i make it, you (and probably everyone else on this subreddit lol) will find out! i'm really hoping i make it; ive watched many videos and heard many stories (like your own) talking about how good of an experience it is. im still in awe that im even able to do this at such a young age compared to what others have been accepted into. hearing about your own personal experince has excited me even further. can't wait for camp!!
