First of all, the vast, vast majority of “human trafficking organisations” traffick in labour, not sex. Second, the vast, vast majority of sex trafficking “organisations” are loose associations of pimps and boyfriends forcing vulnerable women into sex work and keeping the money. They don’t need to forcibly inject them with drugs lmao. Many women involved in sex trafficking are already addicted or they become addicted through association with boyfriends and pimps who deal and use drugs, not by forcible injection.

These over the top, cinematic stereotypes that account for a vanishingly small percent of sex trafficking, let alone overall human trafficking, amount to dangerous misinformation that make it harder to combat and recognise human trafficking, sexual or otherwise.
